I've been hearing about Neurontin for this actually.
I'm trying it now for mood swings, but I must say
it has made my interactions with other people
much easier even though I don't consider myself
particularly socially phobic.

Anyway, Neurontin is not exactly side-effect
free. Mostly drowsiness, dizziness, and
a certain dulling of the brain. In theory these
side effects are supposed to go away after a
few weeks.
