reducing anxiety and increasing concentration?

Posted by Franz on July 19, 2009, at 8:57:40

Hello,I have to write a paper. Please send tips on how to reduce anciety (I feel overwhelmed by the task) and concentrate for longer periods.

It is taking me too loong to finish. I procrastinate. Maybe I feel the result will not be too good.

Is there any chat room for people writing so you can talk and reduce block?.

Thanks

The Brain Fitness Program from Posit Science Corporation. Buy it, do it daily, it's worth the money. Scrape it together somehow if you have to. Your brain is all you have. Also, anti-psychotic meds of some sort may help. And keep off booze and drugs. THAT part is important.

And what I daily fail at btw Franz. (nm)

Listening to the Right Kind of music helps also.
I'm sure some of the studies that cite acid rock and heavy metal and what I will, without a f*ck*ng apology, no ... I will call garbage music, because it really isn't music IN MY OPINION ... taking responsibility for that .. IMO calming lullaby-type classical, some types of classical can make depression worse I think, especially music with a lot of flats??? Not sure, having trouble remembering ... but if very dramatic music is found, the right music at the right time, that can make a person emotional and able to cry when it's needed, and then usually we feel a bit better ...) ... also did I mention about the German study that found if you stayed awake through certain hours of the night, just for one night, it could cure a depressive state for up to six months I think ... and it does work for me, because I get depressed even on Effexor at this huge dose. But I think I get depressed and anxious because I see my old age looming in front of me and being alone and not having my dreams of sailing fulfilled,(but I'm actually getting really closer to having that come true, I'm working on that...) ...and ... I still smoke pot, daily. A lot less than I used to, but still, it's hard on my body physically, and Fall is looming on the horizon, and last Winter I was suicidally depressed, and suicidally anxious, and I'm a bit afraid of this Fall and Winter.
I'm not sure what to do about it.
I hope all the right things fall in place so I don't end up feeling my days are slipping by and I'm wasting them.
