long, dark, cold, quiet, distant

did you paint that?

it is awesome :-)

thanks for posting it :-)

are you guys moving in to summer?

it is autumn (aka fall) here.

the days can be quite lovely...

but sometimes it is bloody freezing

brr.

but it is a nice dry crisp clean coldness here

better than the slush and swamp and mist and fog i'm used to ;-)

:-)

thanks.

yeah I did it in chalk pastels and charcoal on really crappy newsprint paper.

I like it 'cause it feels "quiet"-you know like when it is so quiet out in the winter that you can hear the crunch of snow under your feet

It's really springy here actually. Seems all the trees have gotten their leaves, and everything is green again. Lots of rain lately, but LOTS of green.

I love autumn...I like that crisp coldness.
I'll go outside today though to let the sun hit me. My landlord has planted fruit trees, and lots of flowers.
Enjoy some nice warm sweaters.
talk to you soon :-),

i think it is amazing :-)

> I like it 'cause it feels "quiet"

yeah.

no. i mean... i can imagine... but i've only been to snow once in my life. pathetic really... only a couple hours to skifields / snow... but i never went.

i can imagine though... but i'm sure it isn't the same.

i can remember the crunch of frozen grass... ;-)

yeah. back home autum was really damp and rainy and cold and miserable... here it is nicer. the air is crisp. people wear gloves and hats and long coats. brr. but crisp and fresh. we don't get the colours you get in some parts of the world (native trees don't lose their leaves but the imported varieties still do). so we still have some green in autumn and winter. but not as much as i'm used to... and olive greens and browns more than vibrant green. but i went to the botanic gardens the other day. and there is some sydney tropical rainforest which is like home kind of.

:-)

:-)

Very nice sleepy. I was hoping it was yours. I'm very impressed with your technique. The merging of the different images. But the sense of stillness is the point. The technique just gets you to the feeling.

thanks...yeah, that was the idea there, stillness, and a different type of attention...dazing out maybe, dissociating, floating?
nice to see you James :-)

I hope you won't mind that I did this, but I downloaded it as my background because I find it so beautiful. It takes my breath away.

Not sweet, just really selfish, because honestly, when it pops up on my screen I feel so good. It feels very good. Deep, many depths, there're a lot of moods and patterns here and I get a bit lost in it. I love that.
