Sometimes I like a little mind numbing, not too much though.

My father is alright, usually a benign type of crazy, he gets a bit obsessive, he's on missions, crusades, to expose the conspiracies, out to right the wrongs that other people don't really see as significant issues, maybe 'cause they're not, but that's all a matter of perception, as is most reality.
He's odd enough for other people to notice though.

You could try it yourself sometime when the noise is fairly loud and you have to say it into someone's ear.

I must try it on my kids.

It was watching Happiness with my son when we picked it up.

Not in a good way?

>to expose the conspiracies

You've heard the one about an ancient race of lizard people who lived in the centre of the earth and mated with humans when they evolved and whose descendants are among us as our leaders?

I'm kind of winging it here but that is the general idea.

No, that's good :)

Just run of the mill satanists as our leaders. I was raised among conspiricists, too. I wonder about those who put no one before themselves. I thought that explained some things. Does away with lots of ceremony.

Really? Klonopin, too? Dear gawd. This stinks.

I need to iron place mats now. You can quote me and remember me thusly :)

Happy Thanksgiving to you!

It did work. I'm embarassed to admit I really didn't notice that about the name before. Such a silly name.

It's a bloody long term thing. If I could be strong for two weeks, things started to get slowly better after that.

I have wondered if it (long term benzo addiction) helps you deal with your anxiety by getting you to think about feelings of trappedness/obligation and whatnot. That's looking on the bright side.

The difficulty for me is that I like to be alone if I am cutting back. That's a lot of aloneness to make a dint in the habit.

Thanks for letting me know about the 2 week thing.Maybe I can hold on for 2 weeks.I fear getting psychotic when tapering.I guess I would then immediately reinstate the dose tho.I continuously think of getting off klonopin, why,if its working,do i do that?

Your strength comes in waves. When you have it, that is the time to use it. Other times it is best to stand still and wait.

Not that, silly, this:

>That's a lot of aloneness to make a dint in the habit.

Can't explain that to a kid. That's all I meant. They don't do well around a cynical sphinx.

Oh I see. I am so thick. Yeah well, that was a problem for me too.

I told you about the time I was withdrawing and one of my son's friends was staying over? Maybe he was 7 or 8? Anyway, this kid gets up early and while I could speak, I wasn't exactly feeling like company. But this was a top kid. I fetched him something to eat and then we sat together on the couch next to each other for maybe 40 minutes. We didn't say anything and were not uncomfortable. It is the loveliest memory. I like that kid forever.

sigi, are you listening to anything interesting?

I could use some new music.

If anything comes to mind.

Or anyone else...?

I liked it how, in 1969, Grace Slick said something like

'All right friends, you have heard the heavy groups, now you will hear morning maniac music, believe me yeah, it's the new dawn, good morning people'.

Because I hate my own choices so much I like to follow the radio when I can get it together to turn it on.

Messiah time coming up. I had this wonderful experience once listening to Messiah after I had eaten two psiloscybin mushrooms. It was just glorious and unusual for me to really feel that consciousness is a delight. Christian theology is not my thing but I found the words very moving as well for reasons I don't understand

Oh thou that tellest good tidings to Zion
Say unto the cities of Judah
Behold, your God
The glory of the Lord is risen upon thee

It was like everything had fallen into place and there were so many good things in the world, which of course there are except for the fact that something something something.

Thanks sigi. I think I was hoping for a bit more rhythm, like black moon. Though if mushrooms were supplied and something something something which I very well might try on my child when he has exhausted every possible answer in my meager encyclopedia :)

I'll tell you a book I really enjoyed. Very funny in parts and amazing throughout. Well written too.

"Life" Keith Richards

I'm glad it worked. :-)
I miss you in chat. I had been going to sleep earlier. Not right now though. I hope all is well.
It was the "pro" part of course...I don't know what the "zac" part is
Zoloft makes me think lofty
Effexor makes me think effective
Seroquel makes me think about quelling uncomfortable feelings
Abilify? That name needs some subtlety no?
Goodnight :-)

The review said his blood transfusion was how he kicked heroin. He kicked heroin? I didn't know. One can kick heroin that way?

Was it an easy read? I ask because I tend to get into boggy books, and it never occurred to me to read a book about Keith Richards. Maybe because I did not know there was one. My husband wore kohl when I met him. We both did.

I mean, I just got the Bacevich book. And ordered a Fallada book. Naomi Klein is also on the stack. Please do remember that I read fiber arts and art books as well. Or you will think I am a cultural ghoul. And the ever-breezy New Yorker.
