something

Posted by sleepygirl2 on November 22, 2011, at 23:19:56

I wanted to post "something", but can't think of anything in particular....
I could talk about how I love my cats. I think one had an anxiety issue, she pulls some of her fur out on her belly...poor thing.
I also could say that I am going to be really tired tomorrow...on account of being up late, and posting this nonsense.
Perhaps a question then (if anyone cares to answer)...
What was the first psych med you were ever on?
Mine was zoloft. I think it upset my gi tract, but that bouncy, smiling oval on the commercials seemed so uplifting.
Sleepytime, g'night.

Zoloft & Depakote. It was psychedelic.

Then came Xanax.

The intrepid little x.

Did you catch some z's?

Valium, or was it Anatensol? That sounds like high tension wire.

You know that in "Happiness" by Tod Solondz, some people are softly talking in an office and you can just hear them say 'something something something', which delighted me.

My little fur pulling cat is sitting on my lap.

I was given Depakote out the chute. With the Zoloft. It was like a hazy ceiling. As I recall, SG, you may not have missed anything. It took a lot of coffee to overcome.

At the time the start up effect of Zoloft made up for it. I remember staring at the fruit in the produce aisle, like, oh, I have never seen a pear before....

I imagine Depakote (and Zoloft!) would feel very different to me today.

I remember going to a new pcp and telling him that i was nervous, was having some dizziness, and then vertigo.I was at the very beginning of the descent. He gave me rx for 5mg valium and celexa.I never took it.I did try lexapro, just 1/2 pill. After I took that pill,I was even dizzier, nauseous, and crazy, panic attacks began. But a funny thing did happen,I got that song "walkin on sunshine" stuck in my head, loud, all day.I didnt take another lexapro,as you may know from my posts,I refused all meds, went into the abyss for months. Finally, finally, found remeron, zoloft, and klonopin-success!

Well, yes. Mind numbing. Guess it depends on the dose. A ceiling isn't always a bad thing. I think it might be better than comparable doses of lithium. Idk. Sorry SG. Some abhor a fence or a ceiling whether it be of wood or uniform.

I did not stay on my dose either. But I am tame. I hope he is o.k. now.

About that intrepid x.

Seems I decreased too fast.

Why didn't my first shrink give me Klonopin?

I feel a little better going back up to .5mg.

At .25 I get wiggy. This time took about two weeks to realize it.

I will definitely need my pdoc's explicit help getting off this.

Last time I asked, he said we had 'years'.

He's young.

Gadchik, my husband is playing Coldplay's Yellow. "Parachutes" is my favorite album of theirs.

Sometimes I like a little mind numbing, not too much though.

My father is alright, usually a benign type of crazy, he gets a bit obsessive, he's on missions, crusades, to expose the conspiracies, out to right the wrongs that other people don't really see as significant issues, maybe 'cause they're not, but that's all a matter of perception, as is most reality.
He's odd enough for other people to notice though.

You could try it yourself sometime when the noise is fairly loud and you have to say it into someone's ear.

I must try it on my kids.

It was watching Happiness with my son when we picked it up.

>to expose the conspiracies

You've heard the one about an ancient race of lizard people who lived in the centre of the earth and mated with humans when they evolved and whose descendants are among us as our leaders?

I'm kind of winging it here but that is the general idea.

No, that's good :)

Just run of the mill satanists as our leaders. I was raised among conspiricists, too. I wonder about those who put no one before themselves. I thought that explained some things. Does away with lots of ceremony.

It did work. I'm embarassed to admit I really didn't notice that about the name before. Such a silly name.

It's a bloody long term thing. If I could be strong for two weeks, things started to get slowly better after that.

I have wondered if it (long term benzo addiction) helps you deal with your anxiety by getting you to think about feelings of trappedness/obligation and whatnot. That's looking on the bright side.

The difficulty for me is that I like to be alone if I am cutting back. That's a lot of aloneness to make a dint in the habit.
