And yesterday at the gas pump, the auto shut off thingy didn't work, sending gasoline all over the place, including my shoes.
Sorry, not really relevant, but figure you should have something to read if you opened the message. Why don't we have the "nm" option when starting a thread?

Sorry about the gas that's horrible. If I did it couldn't afford a pair of shoes good thing lost smell. So something good about it I guess . As for nm I don't know???? Tongue tied people????? Nothing to say???? Maybe someone else will comment on that. Phillipa

I went straight home to clean up (even though I was running late) because these were my favorite black boots. Since they're leather, I think they survived. They aren't even smelly today.
But, I DID buy 2 new pair of shoes last night. I mean, it was TJ Maxx. Think of all the money I saved!

Maybe I'll watch the video tomorrow. Right now I like things very quiet, which sometimes requires ear plugs and closed doors, thanks to a very yappy kitten.

I've been all decked out to go out on the town and had gasoline go all over my outfit. I had to go home and change completely! So I can definitely sympathize!
So why is your nervous system shot? Is it the job hunting? That's enough for the shot nervous system IMO!

Couldn't really tell you why it's shot. Just know that it is. Honestly, every little sound annoys me. Like right now.....the dog is under the desk licking her paw and I want to kick her so she'll stop!! Of course, I'd never actually do that, but there are moments when I want to.
How's your job search going? I totally understood what you meant when talking about the industry moving from Quark to InDesign. We found that out when we used to publish our healthcare directory. That's the format all the printers expected. My ex built the book for us, and while he didn't get paid, he did get InDesign on the publishing company's (our!) tab. Anyway, hope you're having more luck than I am.

(((((MB))))) Thanks for missing me. I've had a strong smelling candle in the car (not burning, of course) ever since the incident, and I think today was the first day I didn't smell gas.

No, not really feeling any better. In fact, the night I posted this, I made an effort to do something to help myself feel better and it backfired in a big way. Went to Target and who did I run into but my ex and his boyfriend. Had never met the boyfriend before and this wasn't exactly the ideal way for it to happen. I looked about as crappy as I possibly can look. Ugghh.
Note to self: Next time self-help requires leaving the house, don't bother!
