It does hurt. Alot. I've felt it over the years and ir hurts the hell out of me. Especially, if I've grown to feel that I can be accepted and loved.

I was more than bothered with all of the hell that was raised last week over HF..after the fact..Letting someone hurt that long without having a private chat or making more effort to help her is also a form of very painful ostracicsm....sorta takes the support out of "support forum" for one, doesn' it>

But I look at it the same way that I look at a person who tries to disrespect me with words.
At work, some people will become upset if a student tries to "have their way" with me verbally. I look at it like this, PC...as much as they think that they are disrespecting me...huh uh..they disrespect themselves more.

Anyone who practices the skills of ostracisms on social networking sites already had a problem (themselves) before me..but they ain't gonna become my problem. People like that aren't worth the time it takes a frog to sneeze!(New Central Texas saying..1 minute old)

I love you oodles and oddles and unconditionally and with sugar on it and a spot of tea and sour cream cookes by a creek kind of love. Pat

PS - does ostracized mean the same as ignored in this context?

No, it means excluded. But I disengaged myself from the network in question, so it won't bother me any more.
Just as I intend to suspend posting here before I get blocked.
Be back soon.

You're welcome.

I guess I did feel ostracized myself. Or more just sad.

Way back when I had returned after years, it was before the Toronto get-together & I offered to help out, as I lived near Toronto. I didn't "know" anyone on PB any more & nobody answered my offer. :-(

I am so sad now that I know so many of you nicies.

I could have met you!! (those who came).

oh well.

(((((((((((((((you)))))))))))))))))

I'm so sorry about the ostracism stuff. Being ignored is painful, but the active collective disinterested malice of ostracism can be excruciating.

Enough big words. I'm sorry that you're hurting.

Take frequent breaks and deep breaths when indicated. Please disengage if things get too intense. I don't want you to get burned :(

adhesively,

Llurpsie - I just have to ask - the adhesive doesn't come from anywhere near your nose, does it?

Kath

PS - couldn't help being silly, however I am also very sorry that PC is hurting. She, of all people, doesn't deserve to hurt.

Kath, you are a funny one :)
you make me smile!

PC and I have a tradition of "sticky hugs". Those are the hugs that feel close, but not smothering. Warm, and sincere, without being threatening. She's a very good hugger.

so, the adhesive comes from her emotional core, I believe. If I imagine a scenario in which one of us is crying and all messy-faced, I suppose the adhesive might be somewhat ... nasal...

((((((PC)))))) I'm sorry she's hurting too

I like your curiosity :)

I disengaged from the few places where unpleasant (for me) paths had crossed and sent cursory emails explaining what had happened. Folks were more than gracious and understanding.

Much better now, but this is a messy business, this 21st century stuff.

Many thanks for the hugs of all varieties - I'm happy to have them all :-)

I'm sorry I didn't offer my own hugs before now. I know we don't chat much these days (my fault I know), but you are still one of my all time favorite people. I've been keeping up with some of your posts and thinking about you and wanting to offer you comfort. If only my thoughts could be transmitted directly to the person I'm thinking of!
