Man: I Am Pregnant

Posted by Quintal on March 27, 2008, at 18:47:33

"A married man sensationally revealed yesterday that he is pregnant", says the front page of The Sun. It goes on to reveal the baby is due on July 3rd. Turning to page 8 I find that the baby was conceived using IVF after the wife had a hysterectomy and could no longer conceive. Apparently he was pregnant with a pair of twins last year but lost them due to complications.

It's something I've always fancied doing myself actually.

It's Just Like Arnie's Hit Film 'Junior'.

By LYNSEY HAYWOOD

THOMAS Beaties pregnancy comes 14 years after Arnold Schwarzeneggers film Junior in which the Hollywood muscleman starred as a man having a baby.

In the 1994 comedy, Arnie plays Alex Hesse, a scientist who invents a new super-fertility drug.

Hesse and Dr Larry Arbogast played by pint-size Danny DeVito test it by stealing an egg, fertilising it with Alexs sperm and implanting it in his abdominal cavity.

Their experiment is only supposed to last three months but Hesse becomes attached to his unborn child. He goes through various physical and emotional changes and nine months later gives birth to a girl in a caesarean op.

Arnie later told how he spent hours in doctors waiting rooms watching pregnant women to mimic how they behave.

Tot Faces Life Of Hurt

By CAROL COOPER
Sun Doctor

THE baby girl being carried by this man could have been exposed to gender-bending hormones that would damage her for life.

Her private parts are likely to appear like a mans if the testosterone jabs taken to boost his masculinity have not worn off.

People are warned against child-bearing after any form of treatment that affects their gender.

The hormone jabs are given in slow-release doses every other month, so there is a chance some may still have had an impact on his body when he fell pregnant.

And this would have a devastating effect on the crucial early development of the unborn child. A babys private parts develop at around 11 weeks, when the substance may still be present.

There will be problems such as the psychological impact of finding daddy is actually mummy.

As is well known, men who have babies grow them in an artificial vagina attached to the bowel wall.

Have you seen "The Mighty Boosh"?
Old Greg has a mangina.
There are a couple of good episodes toward the end of the second series.

The individual in question was born a woman, but is living now as a transgendered male. He had his breasts removed in his early teens, and was using androgen hormones to maintain secondary sex characteristics. His female partner cannot have a child, so he went off the hormones and began to ovulate. They got some donor sperm, and he had an ectopic pregnancy, resulting in loss of one fallopian tube. The second try resulted in a normal pregnancy. The concerns are that the androgen hormone regime may have persistently altered other hormones, so the fetus may experience an abnormal uterine environment.

I remember years ago, in the 1980s, reading Omni magazine and there was an article in one edition about impregnating men. I can't remember the article well, but I do remember that it was interesting. I think the embryo was put into the abdominal cavity or something and delivery would, obviously Duh, have been done by c-section.

Male seahorses carry and give birth to their young. Alls the females do is find the male pouch, and drop the eggs in there. The males then use their own sperm to fertilize, carry, and then give birth to the babies.

Oh pulllleezz! It's totally fake.

Since when does transgender surgery include adding internal organs such as fallopian tubes and a uterus?

And did you see him? Photoshop 101.

When is April Fool's day?

I think you misunderstood the situation. The "man" was born a woman, and always had ovaries, uterus, and vagina. "He" had his breasts removed (you can see the scar in the photo), and took male hormones to develop the beard and other secondary male sexual characteristics. "He" stopped taking the male hormones so he could become pregnant, but I have considerable concern about the hormonal environment that the fetus has been exposed to. Development of sex organs in the fetus is regulated by very small amounts of sex hormones. If the fetus is genetically female, there could be totally unpredictable consequences. I'm not even comfortable about the outcome if it's male. It's uncharted territory.

Good points Larry.

I am sad that a child was subjected to potential harm & possibly horrible consequences. Why not adopt a child? ~sigh~
