Another odd thing... if you hit the normal search button instead of Feeling Lucky you'll discover that #2 in the list is one of GB's major adversaries. And as neither of these pages has the word Failure anyplace on it, I think some Google employee must be having fun with us.

Oh, that's odd, for a while when you clicked on "failure" it advertised Michael Moore's website and Movie (just a few month's after it showed george bush's picture)
And then I read that it was done with self-referencing web pages.
Perhaps the webloggers were fans of Michael Moore.. well I guess that's pretty likely.
I couldn't check out the link it just gave me a page with knitting on it. Thanks though. I don't like giving out incorrect information.

He's incredible, I couldn't imagine hearing him speak! You're so lucky.
I remember him from T.V nation, that was a LONG time ago and he was genius. So brilliant and so funny..

What a riot! Did you hear about the woman who was not allowed to stay on a domestic plane flight in the U.S. because she was wearing a t-shirt that showed a picture of Bush, Cheney and I think the third one was Rove. Underneath the picture it said, "Meet the F*ckers".The woman is now suing the airline. To be fair to the airline, it isn't clear that she was being stopped from making a political statement. Probably anyone wearing a t-shirt with the "f" word on it would have gotten that same treatment.

lol! i'm confused about the pic too.. looked like knitting or something to me too.
would you believe... i've never seen any of his movies. i really should get them out and watch them.. first i really heard properly of his was the email that was sent out after the hurricane.. and i think i mentioned it to my office mate and he is on his mailing list so now he is fowarding me the emails...
but yeah, i thought that was pretty funny :-)
and i really should watch the movies

That's brilliant!!! So typical MM.
I think I heard him speak after that TV show but before "Bowling for Columbine" or "Fahrenheit 9/11". He had another TV show "The Awful Truth". On that show I particularly remember him fighting an HMO who refused to pay for a life-saving transplant for a young man (husband and father of a toddler) because they called it "experimental". Moore went with the guy to the HMO's corporate offices. He brought the camera crew along of course. When there he asked them for help in picking out coffins. He also gave them an invitation to the funeral. It was so gutsy and so perfect and also ultimately successful. The HMO was pressured into approving the operation and they also changed their entire policy in regard to transplants.After showing that footage on his show, Moore had the guy stand up in the audience. He had had the surgery and it was very successful. The audience gave him a standing ovation. There wasn't a dry eye in the house.
I love how MM calls the b*stards on their stuff and forces them to account for it.

MM Went to all the police offices in the city he lived in (I've forgotten now) Driving A van that had his picture on it, saying "THIS MAN IS NOT A CRIMINAL"
And gave them posters to put up saying..the same thing.Then he spoke to the heads of the departments, and I can't even quote it clearly now.. but he's so dry.. I think part of his brilliance is that his conversation is so superficially unthreatening, but pointed that he gets people to hang themselves.

That's another really good story. I'm sure there are so many more. Who else would ever have thought to just give people the rope and let them hang themselves?Too bad there are so many b*stards out there and only one Michael Moore!
