> Congratulations on your exercise! Yes, exercise can be very good for our mental maladies. If nothing more, it keeps you in touch with the world when you do feel like hibernating and being a recluse.

My girlfriend did that with another woman and now they are very close friends. Sometimes that's a bit easier than trying to mingle with others that you have your eye on for dating etc...

Looks like I got moved...haha

It's the weekend again and I'm depressed again. Isn't that strange? I would go for a long walk (which really helped) but I went walking the other day without socks and now I have a nasty blister on my foot.

I feel like a loser in a way that I don't have at least a friend, male or female (I'm female), to pal around with, especially on the weekends. I used to have a female friend and we would go male hunting (for lack of a better word), but our friendship didn't last for reasons I can't exactly remember. I think it had something to do with her then boyfriend.

Oh well. At least I know I'm not alone in this. No, I don't drink. I used to take Xanax which helped a lot but I hated taking it. I also took Klonopin for a while and that really enhanced my social life but I hated it too.

Hey, Snowie! My weekend pal! I have trouble with weekends a lot, too.

I've had a looooong weekend of sorts since I had some time off this week. So, last weekend, I slept a lot to make up for sleep deprivation. And since then, ie, all week, I've done a lot of NOTHING, too. I enjoyed some tv during my very lazy mornings (local news, "Ellen", and "Starting Over House", but after a while, that started to bore me. Still moving at a slow pace, but eventually, I started getting some things done--piles of paper work, bills, phone calls, etc. And, I did do a little bit of social stuff, too.

And, I've been managing to get myself out of the house at least every other day, lol.

So now it's the weekend again. I still have a bunch of stuff I would like to get done. I hope I can get myself out of the house tomorrow. If the weather is decent, maybe I can get myself to go to this free nature walk (the easy version)nearby. But this means getting up early, which isn't easy for me.

What would you like to do this weekend, Snowie?

Hey, Noa. You're such a sweetheart! I wish I had a friend like you to pal around with.

I'm sorry you have problems with the weekends too. I probably had one or two bad weekends, and then started dreading them. I work hard during the week, so I shouldn't have to dread my time off from work.

I understand what you mean about extended time off from work. Sometimes you need time off, but unless you have some place to go or something specific to do, watching court TV shows, game shows, (I like Ellen, Dr. Phil, and Oprah but rarely see them, except Ellen is now on Oxygen in the evenings), and "if you or a loved one have been injured in an accident" attorney commercials gets VERY old.

Now see, to me you seem so popular that I can't imagine you not having a great weekend. Where do you go when you do something social every other day? I wouldn't even have a clue where to begin, although my social life used to be better years ago. My few friends now are married, so we don't socialize except when I go over to their houses, which isn't often. I rarely let new people see the real me because I'd have to explain why I don't have a lot of friends.

What are we doing this weekend? Yours is probably pretty great. I'll put on some sneakers (with socks this time) and will take a long walk when it gets cooler this evening. Then there's always something on cable, I think. I'd love to see a movie, but I hate to go to a movie by myself, so I usually end up renting something instead.

I got out of the house about every other day, but I didn't do social things that often!

I had some social stuff kind of built in to the holiday--invitations to two Seders, for example.

Getting out of the house might just be running an errand or something.

Today, I've been working on paperwork again. I actually created an excel worksheet for my checkbook register (using a template I got from the MS web site) and for the first time in ages, I actually balanced the account!! Then, while I was at the MS site, I also downloaded a budget worksheet and have been working on that. It's kind of scary--actually seeing what my income and expenses are.

I need to do my taxes, too. Ugh.

I got out briefly to run a couple of errands, including picking up scrips at the pharmacy.

I did not go to the nature walk--I slept in instead!

I'm actually feeling ok this weekend, so far.

How bout you?
