Happy to be home but.......(a little long)

Posted by Tootercat on April 1, 2004, at 11:00:27

Well I got back on Tuesday night and my babies (kitties and birdy) were so happy to have Mommy home. And boy was I happy to see them....they are the most stabilizing factor of my life. I have somehow aquired an inner ear infection or something. Monday I woke up feeling like I was on a boat that was going around in circles. :(
Had to fly home (thank God my ears behaved on the plane more or less) today i woke up and it is worse than ever so I am going to the doctor (hopefully I can get in today)

On this trip to see my Mom in the hospital I have had another huge learning experince and insight into what I am capable of. I was so afraid I wouldn't either know what to do or worse not be willing to do it. It turns out that when I stop thinking and just do what comes naturally I can do ALOT! I felt so loving and close to my Mommy in her vulnerable state. Cleaning her and feeding her and making sure she had things and was comfortable helped us both. I was sad to be leaving her again. God willing she is going to stay with my oldest sister (today) for awhile while she gets stronger.

I've missed y'all. Hope things are going well....

KK....I didn't see the dress...where would I do that?
Lala.....Behave....don't antagonize your sister!

Kid...could you keep KK content please?

Jeff...how are you sweetie?

AllDone.....have you tried any meetings yet?

Jai....can you help Kid with KK?

God it's good to be home....my sweetie is really happy I'm back on this side too!

Love to all,
Toots

We're very happy you are home. And MOTHER!!!! Why would you doubt yourself? I sure didn't! Neither did my bratty sister.

About that hideous dress.... She brought it over. It's neon green and poofy with a slit up the side (does she want me to look like she does or what?). I won't wear it! I say, I won't! Tell her to stop hitting me too! Can't you keep your second favorite daughter in line mother? I always knew I was your favorite, but tell her to stop hitting me! Please mommy!

And tell kid to stop picking on me.... All Done's being far too sweet as well. Will you tell her to stop? This place just hasn't been the same without you keeping it in shape, know it? Glad you are back! Now, with 3 daughters, instead of 2 lovely ones. You don't mind, do you?

KK honey you don't have to wear the neon green monstrosity! Although let me just say that you could make it look like a designers dream come true! Give your sis a little break. After all this is a big event and she's got a case of nerves....and family gets the brunt. All Done eh? I knew I had other children here but wasn't sure under which identity I would find them...just don't gang up on each other as girls are wont to do...2 against 1. You also need to remember that boys show how much they like (love) you by how much they pick on you! So kid must be crazy about you girl!

I love you lots,
Momma

Question for ya Tootercat...

I'm sure that you have been asked this before so I apologize. How did you come up with your screen name? Does one of you kitties have a flatulence problem? Sadly, mine does...sigh. (But not a very big sigh because the kitty is in the vicinity.) ;)

Glad you’re back and doing okay. Sorry you’ve had so much going on lately, but I’m glad you have someone special to lean on.

I must say, I was hesitant to call myself one of your daughters since I do believe you are much, much too young to be my mother, but if you’re willing, I’m in! The thing is, I could really use a new mom, but I must warn you, you have some interesting shoes to fill. My real mom was a nun (yes, you heard me – a nun) for 13 years before she left the convent, married my dad, and had me. Then, one year when I was about 7, she had me dress up like a nun for Halloween. Slightly disturbing and I’m not exactly sure what all this means, but KK finds it funny and frankly, so do I. So, I thought I’d share.

And whatever KK says, you must know, it wasn’t my fault and she started it.

You are not the first to ask my friend nor will you be the last...It was a name I called one of my kitties because she made little tooting sounds when she meowed so she became my little tootercat.
I actually wrote a poem for this baby when she died...she was very special and it killed me when I had to let her go. Her "official" name was Mimi.

I am sorry you have "flatukitty". Just remember gassy kitties need love (sometimes more) too. LOL

All D I probably could be your mom as I am
46-1/2. So if you are anywhere near 30 or under.....
I once dressed as a nun for Halloween and it was the same day as I had to go for my yearly pap smear at Kaiser! I had a blast! One guy even said "Have a nice day sister"...I truly looked the part...if he only knew. LMAO
Hey it doesn't seem unusual to me that your mom had a change of heart.....she got a new messgae from her higher power. You needed to come into the world my sweet!
Love,

As a librarian, I'm not sure that I would recommend forgoing the story. Reading to children is one of the most important things that you can do for them. A love of books can be learned at an early age and last a lifetime. The special time while you cuddle and read together and explore new worlds through books is precious.

Now, with the kids you have, you might have to read one at a time with them so they don't act up while you are reading. I know how they like to bug each other. But that would be OK, because then YOU would get 3 stories, instead of just 1. Such a deal! And if you get books from the library instead of feeding them, you can save a lot of money. What would you do with that money? For me, it would definately go into ice cream, although it is hard to hide ice cream from those pesky children who live in house. It is easier to hide candy or cookies and you can sneak those when they aren't looking. Ice cream is a bit more challenging in this regard. Hmmm I'll have to think about that.

So save some money - go to your library (but don't bring ice cream into the library... I eat in the library - lunch etc. but I don't know that I would bring ice cream into the library...)

Falls, although I am not a librarian I love and need books more than I need food. The problem around witholding food is that CPS could take my darling kiddies away! And although separating them sounds like the right plan it doesn't teach them anything about acceptance of others. (see page 449 of the BB of AA) LOL

ok so I'm not awake yet so shoot me if I'm not making sense....

Have a lovely day in the neighborhood!

I'm approaching 32, so that would have made you, umm, pretty young.

Are you trying to make me cry like KK does? You are so kind to help me remember the bright side of her interesting choices in life. I can't thank you enough.
