Whether you hated the job or not, this is a difficult thing to go through. I have faith that things will work out for the best.

I'm sorry that you lost your job..but if you hated it, something else will work out that you will enjoy more. I lost a job that I loved last year...it broke my heart. BUT while working there, I made one of the best friends that I'll ever have so I look at that part as a blessing and have tried to move on from the crappy parts...You are a very strong person and I love to read your writings.......hang in there, woman, things will get better and better and better!!!! I'm so sorry that this had to happen to you. I know with all of the things going on in your life, that you didn't need this. It may seem hard to do, but please try to avoid taking it personally. See if you can find someone there to use as a reference; just because you were fired doesn't necessarily mean that no-one there will speak well of you.
In the meantime, you still have lots of things to occupy your mind while you are out of work.
I hope you can eventually see this as a positive for it might well be.

So, I'm taking this as a blessing in disguise.... and now I feel really good about not seeing all those people who made me sweat and hear all the whispers about me.
So- instead of sitting on my butt at home (that will do nothing but let depression set in again) I'm doing websites at my fiance's company. I'm not making any money here- but I'm collecting a severnce, so once I can make enough money for my own salary here (it's still a small company) I can be offically a webmaster- on my own... sell websites.... do charity websites for non-profits for free- because now I have time!
So- soon I will be my own boss, unless you consider my fiance a boss... he knows who the real boss is (haha- just kidding)
Thank you all for your support- I really needed to hear that last night... and then things just turned right around.

Don't worry, I'll still marry you :) And you can come live with me, where everything is perfect. And my boyfriend will take care of you too. Then, we can play house all day and talk....
Think of it this way... At least you are through with that miserable job now. And you can find a better one. Or maybe take a break to get your wedding together. But, at least you don't have to worry about doing to that dreadful place anymore. And you can find a better job, from the experience you gained at the horrible one... Sending good thoughts your way hun!

Sorry to hear about what happened. I am glad though that it's working out for the better. I designed websites briefly. It's tedious but very fun to have that artisic outlet. If you don't mind me asking what kind of business is your fiance in?

don't apologize for giving me the only joy in my day- posting here was fun, but it also let me know I wasn't alone- and that job as killing me- this board was my get-a-way from that and I am SOOOOOO very thankful for that, all of you- you all rock so much!

Computer Networking- like Cisco stuff and such, but also server/client stuff... pretty much anything technology, IP phones, printers, wireless networks- pretty cool stuff.
