That's no good, Lurps.

There's a finality, isn't there?

When our bush cat got a tick and died a horrible death we buried her, and then we came back, and it was such an empty comfortless feeling.

We've had a few cats since, but never one so lovely for me.

I'm so very very sorry.

Please take care. Rest assured that your little fur baby was loved in its life.

I think that love carries on with them after they're gone.

I'm so sad for you.

Seldom

I'm so sorry, Llurpsie.

I wish there was something that could undo such a very very sad, abrupt loss.

Grieve any way that suits.
Seems I do diff for diff pets.
One dear pet I went in my room alone and moaned like tribeswoman.
Its hurts.
Kitty is OK, maybe kitty up there playing with my dogs and cats and my special budgie.
It hurts to lose a loved one.
The pain will ease.
But it surely sucks.
I am sorry.

That is so awful. I'm so so sorry. Take the time you need to grieve. I would be absolutely devastated and torn up too. And calling your T would be perfectly appropriate, if you think it might be helpful.

I hope you can find some peace tonight.

thank you guys,
I had too many emotions yesterday, and I couldn't sleep because I kept seeing his little body and wondering how someone could have hit him and not stopped. I kept on seeing the images. and then going to bed, and he wasn't there to snuggle with me (he always snuggles with me).

Well, I had to take a zyprexa which is basically like an elephant dart, in my experience. and a klonopin, and a sonata. finally after 2 hours of tossing and turning, trying to watch TV, trying to read, etc. I must have fallen asleep.

I know this is horrible, but we shopped for kittens today. We put down a deposit on a ragdoll kitten. I want my next cat to be docile and not an outdoor kitty. no more outdoors for my kitty. maybe on the deck, that's fine, but no further.

I will never forget my little kitty though. he had the cutest kitty meow, kind of squeaky, like a kitten. he was very affectionate, and had a curious, naughty streak in him too. he was very fun, and very much a part of my family.

I decided not to call T, unless I'm feeling self-destructive. So far my self-destructive instincts have led me to eat an ice cream sundae and 2 boston kreme donuts. and a piece of pizza for breakfast. i was in bed until 4pm, at which point we went on a junkfood binge.

comfort food.

I keep on expecting to hear his jingle bell, signalling that he's coming home... :'(

Li what is a ragdoll kitten? Never heard of that kind. Love Phillipa glad you seem to be recovering.

Ragdolls are adorable. If I ever get a cat, that's the kind I want.

Bicolor or mitted?

My favorite!! Do you have names picked out?

Feeling emotions in manageable quantities is probably a good thing, don't you think? Losing a family member is something to grieve.

I can't believe how numb the klonopin and zyprexa made me feel. it took a full 24 hours before I was able to cry again.

This morning I took a xanax because I thought I had a dentist visit. I get there, and (stoopid llurpsie) it is actually tomorrow. (dammit!)

I think I'll paint my fingernails now. they are begging for some kind of crazy goth color.
