med mixing

Posted by B2chica on January 25, 2015, at 13:05:04

i'm mixing what i can to allow me to survive till monday. unfortunately, i have some severe short-term memory loss as well. i can only hope it s not permanent.
i'm on my
pristiq 100mg (once in am)
adderall 20mg (once in am)
hydrocodone 5/325 (2-4 in the evening)
gabapentin 300mg (3-5 in afternoon-evening)
perphenazine 2mg (3-4 afternoon/evening)
haldol 1mg (2-4x afernoon/evening)

i keep thinking there is something that i'm taking that is 10mg, but i can't remember what, but i could have been looking at stuff and been out of it, seeing 10 instead of 1?

anyway. i am going to sleep about 10-11pm and waking about 9am, which is wonderful. and i'm trying to knock out in the afternoon as well. i just can't seem to handle being awake and not wanting to die. the pain is just too much.
in fact its time for my afternoon nap now.
i'll try to post later.

If its causing too much short term memory loss you might not want to take before work day.

cymbalta is good for pain and there's a couple TCA antidepressants that pain, not so much like traditional pain relievers.......

you could also think of try lyrica, it's effects are similar to nuerontin but it's diffrent.....and also tramadol, but it's now a controlled substance, but it's a scheduel 4, not schedul 2 like the other ones.....

adderall good for waking up in the morning, well it was for me, but vyvanse lasts a long time, maybe it would last through the day so you won't need a nap......

hang in there....

its pretty severe memory loss.
i think partly due to meds, but also do to sleep stuff. when i sleep this much if feels like Days go by rather than one night. as i have been acclimated to 3 hrs a night.

i'm tryig to write down everything i take during a day, but sometimes i do not.
...aw crap, i just looked at my sheet, and realized i took a second dose of haldol, so i took totoal of 4mg today... i don't thing thatssthat bad though.

oh hell, i can't tell from my notes what i took yesterday and what i took today.
damn...
well, i obviously have taken a lot, but not enough to kill me.
i wish the pot was available. id be doing that now.
i was so frustrated that it wasn't available for me friday when i really needed it. . b y saturday i was so crazy out of it, i couldn't drive and today, well,... tomorrow's monday.
in another 12 hours i 'll have made it through the weekend.
barely, but i did...

if my options weren't so poor i'd really say 'f-off to my pdoc...

memory loss.....don't want to say everything for meds, but using namenda and addearll together will get hte memory and some cogitive function better, they use namenda for althimers diease to restore memory......
if it's severe memory loss that's difficult, because the main medicnes to treat are usally smart nootropics and methyphenidate or amphetamine......and im sure there's more....

do see a therapist that could help you with this?

maybe could you ask about lyrica, it's vary good for the mood, well not that good, but it gives like a ease feeling, and the benzos are good but they are known to cause more memory problems, i've read that through articles over the years.......

have you taken invega? that might be a cool option

Take care with the combinations if you're having trouble remembering what you've taken. The large dose of gabapentin may contribute to memory loss. Perhaps avoid taking more than 3 x 300mg. Also, don't overdose on acetaminophen by taking too much hydrocodone/APAP. I know hydrocodone is probably making you feel calmer right not but if you take it for more than a few days you'll probably feel a lot worse when it wears off. I know it was an emergency measure but you really need to see a doc very soon. I hope they answer your calls today.

>haloperidol and perphenazine

I think you should stick to one or the other. These meds are similar in action. Taking both could be too much and not helpful. A little bit can be calming but too much will make you feel worse and potentially very restless.

Be safe. x

Could it be you just need to give it more time? I know in the past when I was off z for a few months, and then back on it. It would take a few weeks to get my head psychologicaly back in line. I wonder if generic would even work now.

What happened with your last pdoc?

Did your doc get mad and send you to hospital? this time.
