seriously depressed

Posted by rjlockhart37 on February 5, 2013, at 20:13:29

ughhh....i've been having down time in my room.....unproductive.....but you know i don't feel sorry for myself because i know when that happens it causes more sorrow and sorrow to other people who care about them.

I've been avoiding this slump, helpless, nothingness feeling....when im deflated all the intellect i have written, tried to program in my mind...it all fades....turns to emptiness, and i go back to basically being a helpless scared little kid. Listen, if all this babble i write, im sorry for focusing too much on myself...focus on helping other people. Still if i don't help my own mind, i can't help other people either...all that stupid wivestale of not focusing on yourself and focus on others....its nothing but wivetale false thinking crap...you have to do help yourself to even have a happy life.

falling back into negative gloom is a fear of mine....i try my best to avoid, and forget about it but it will eventually run into it again....

I'm sorry RJ that your feeling so rotten. But just know that your not alone. You will get better. That really depressed place scares the crap out of me too! Are you able to work and get out, etc.?

Hang in there.

rj,

I'm so sorry you are feeling so depressed. Have you talked to your pdoc? Maybe your meds need to be adjusted.

I agree with you; you have to take care of yourself first, before you can help anyone else. So take good care of yourself, maybe get your meds adjusted, and don't give up on helping others, just wait until you feel better. Then consider going back to helping others...when you help others it can make you feel better yourself. I know you have helped me a few times, and it really helped, and I appreciate it. Remember you are not alone, you have friends here, and we will give you all the support you need. Take good care of yourself and talk to your pdoc.
Kat

yea...i do get out, right now im in a hiding place at home...i have gotten out many times and gone after acting classes, stuff....but everytime i get out and get envolved with social things, i say something random, stupid....people think im wierd....well not weird, but i come home and absolutely collapse because i want to be at least somebody who can have a normal social life. I'm funny sometimes but I don't know it, that feeling where im standing away from people and not being included....like staring out a window in my eyes and wanting to get out....

anyways, no self pity...that's the last thing, or never i would do....it doesnt help, it causes more depression and other people who care causes them pain too....and i don't want to do that.

thanks...

yea, thank Kat....im sorry for not jumping in and giving advice on more of your posts...ill be scrowling down babble boards and have no motivation to get out there and help people, not saying i don't care .. its just ill get so depressed can't help myself, and then realize when i do im giving advice that i need to learn myself too....

It's good to take the pain and use it to help other people...really....it makes compassion and better fellowship. I do like to help people...just realize how much social envolvement i have....i still feel...lonely. Anyways, enough with that lol

thanks kat...

awwww rj, I completely understand, don't worry about jumping in on others' posts when you are emotionally not able to do it. You have to feel better yourself first.

And it makes me so sad when you said you were lonely...that's an awful feeling to have, especially when you are already depressed. Don't forget that you are not alone in feeling so depressed, there are so many of us here who are (including me!) Just take good care of yourself and I'll keep my fingers and my eyes crossed that you feel better soon. One more thought...maybe you need a change in your med regimen? It's possible one of your meds has pooped out on you or something. Just a thought, maybe you want to look into it. Take care.
Your friend,
Kat
