Does anyone have any info on this? I have added Abilify, Seroquel and Geodon without success. I currently take 300 mg Effexor XR / day and 80 mg Adderall / day.
Also experience severe anxiety when switching from one AAP to another - it is practically debilitating. Started Ativan today for the anxiety and it seems to be helping.
I'm just wondering if it's even worth trying another AAP to the cocktail if others have had success with simply adding another AD or changing ADs altogether.
Any and all info is greatly appreciated~

I just started Latuda about a week ago for two reasons, keep myself from becoming manic from the AD I take to combat my OCD and to augment my AD in the treatment of my OCD. So far I'm having good results.
What are you hoping to accomplish by adding an AAP to your Effexor and Adderall?

Try dropping the Effexor and starting the following:
Zoloft 100mg in the morning
Welbutrin XR 300mg in the morning
If you need a booster, try Risperidone 1mg at bedtime, it helps both depression and anxiety.

I still think Tofranil-PM (the once nightly Tofranil) would be a good call. Its sedating, so it doubles as a sleeping pill. It hits some of the same sites as Effexor (which is a kind of cleaned up tricyclic anyway) and it boosts amphetamine levels in the brain, which gives an AD effect.

I am hoping to get my depression and anxiety back under control - I was doing fine for quite a while but the sadness, guilt, apathy are present all the time inspite of my longtime use of effexor. The Adderall if for attention and focus issues.

Adding Latuda gives you the benefit of its 5ht1a agonism, which will help with depression and anxiety.
Abilify has some of the same mechanism of action, but also does a bunch of other funky stuff which make it capricious at times. It really is a messy drug.
The problem seems to me that the Effexor might just not be working for you anymore. You may have to move on to another drug. Have you considered Cymbalta? It is an SNRI just like Effexor. I'm saying look at going onto another antidepressant.
I'm 3 days on the Latuda and am enjoying it thoroughly.

That's great news.
Latuda is sort of like Geodon, but without the SNRI properties. Had you tried Geodon?

I was on Geodon for several months a couple years back. It did not provide the adjuntive relief I sought for my OCD.
