Adding Latuda gives you the benefit of its 5ht1a agonism, which will help with depression and anxiety.

Abilify has some of the same mechanism of action, but also does a bunch of other funky stuff which make it capricious at times. It really is a messy drug.

The problem seems to me that the Effexor might just not be working for you anymore. You may have to move on to another drug. Have you considered Cymbalta? It is an SNRI just like Effexor. I'm saying look at going onto another antidepressant.

I'm 3 days on the Latuda and am enjoying it thoroughly.
