its like having a heart attack above 225 mg
will the XR bring the same side effect?
it lasts about an hour after intake, like i said its like a heart attack and then i fall asleep, its hell

Remember, Seroquel has a major metabolite that is a potent NE reuptake inhibitor. That might explain the elevated heart rate. If Seroquel works great for you otherwise, you can take a beta-blocker to reduce your HR if necessary.
I think a great many of us would like to see you succeed. Unless your heart rate exceeds 120 bpm, I would not be too concerned about it at this juncture. If Seroquel is the best of the bunch for you, do everything you can to make it work. This might include aggressively treating the tachycardia and any other side effects that emerge. It can be done.

My best antidepressant so far has been desipramine, which has big norepinephrine action and gave me a rapid heartbeat and palpitations, which was confirmed with the heart test showing sinus tachycardia. A beta blocker was added (mine is nebivolol), which not only slows down the pulse, it also helps decrease anxiety for me (that was mainly as a side effect of the desipramine).

Scott right on target with the heartrate taccy is l00-120. And a beta blocker is a great choice . Kuddos to you. Love Phillipa And Jeroen this is accurate info.

That's what was given to me three weeks prior to starting first ad which was l0mg of paxil but it was anxiety time big time as that was when thyroid went wacko. Made me very tired but three months later after laying in a hammonk all day I stopped taking notes so must have felt better. Did continue with I think 2mg of xanax. Severe anxiety. Love Phillipa ps had to take lopressor as inderol or propanolol contraindicated with thyroid disease.

Seroquel is also an antagonist at the alpha2 adrenoceptor which causes these effects (and antidepressant effects and most likely benefits for cognition in schizophrenia). Hope you notice the upsides soon.

Maybe it hasen't pooped out and you just are not noticing the effects any more. Or maybe the abilify is canceling the effects of the seroquel.

I doubt that there is some sort of pharmacological cancelling out thing going on here, although I think I understand your logic(postsynaptic DA receptor partial agonism?). What I might expect from time to time is an Abilify-induced akathisia or anxiety and insomnia reaction that Seroquel would not be able act as a sufficient remedy for.
A friend of mine was taking Risperdal + Seroquel. She responded well, but weight gain became an issue. Risperdal weight gain is notorious for occurring around the belly. She therefore switched from taking Risperdal to adding Abilify to the Seroquel, and has been well ever since.

And it may not happen with seroquel and abilify. Its just some thing I noticed with zyprexa and abilify. The canceling effects that is.
