I've recently started taking 5mg of Abilify a day, and am on the starter dose of lamictal(25g).
I've been waking up every hour of the night, and it's extremely difficult to get back to sleep. Is it more likely the abilify or Lamictal is causing my Insomnia?

Well in my case 5mg of abilify caused the worst ever insomnia.

lamictal at 50 caused no insomnia but then do take benzos. Never taken abilify but heard it can be stimulating. Phillipa

When starting 2 medications at the same time, it's difficult to know which one is causing the side effect. It could be the combination, rather than one or the other.
Are you taking Abiliby AM or PM? Lamictal AM or PM?

The Abilify is probably causing the insomnia. Lamictal didn't do that in me at all. When I took Abilify I couldn't sleep well. And when I did I would wake up unrested.
