So much confusion... about life, medictions

Posted by Sky Brite Line on May 24, 2008, at 22:15:27

I havent been doing my job, responding back. But i can just say. I wished my life was better, but no pity parties, no boo-hoo (even at night when i take sleeping medication to take away all the "insignificat emotional pain" and insomnia.
I have been on alot of Benzodiaipines, and stimulants.
I really feel just mentally confused about alot of things, and i want out..... of the confusion.
I've already asked about barbiturutes for sleep, there out of the picture. And plus, danger.
I hate this abilify im taking because it litterly numbs me, to where i cant see reality as it is. It blocks it. 10mg-15mg.

What do i do?

and again if you dont like the post.....i just couldnt think of anyhting intresting to say this time. Im mind numb.

Hi Sky Brite Line

You really seem to be going through the mill at the moment!

What exactly is your dianosis? Have you considered changing your psychiatrist?

There are a lot of people suffering on this board and we know how terrible severe mental illness can be, so you are not alone in this...

SBL,
You wrote,[...I wished...sleeping medication...been on a lot of Benzodiazepines and stimulants...feel..confused...want out...I can't see reality...what do I do?...].
I am unsure as to what you are wanting to mean by {I want out}.
If it is that you are wanting to mean that you want out of taking the drugs, there is a growing body of knowledge that shows the accumulative effects of psychotropic drugs, be them to be benzodiazepines, stimulants or other psychotropic drugs. I think that if you read about that, then you could make a determination on your own as to if or if not the state that you are in as you describe here is or is not a result of the psychotropic drugs that you list here that you have taken.
After that, I think that a plan could be made for recovery and healing, if what you are wanting to mean by {I want out} to mean that you want to stop taking the drugs. If you are wanting to mean something else as to you wanting out of, could you post what that could be here? If you could, then I could have the opportunity to respond accordingly.
Lou

Try some thing that will actualy alow you to sleep.

Abilify was horrible to me. It is taking me a long time to come back from when it brought me.

I'm getting on Tegrerol. For over active brain waves and mood swings.

Tegretol and Trileptal

Trileptal is a better choice than Tegretol today -- Tegretol is known for a number of side effects. But I assume you have discussed this with your doctor. They are related medications (oxcabazepine and carbamazepine [Tegretol])

At least in the US, Trileptal is also now generic as well, as of 2007. There is debate as to whether it is more or less effective but the side effect laundry list is definately shorter. Then again, each person responds differently

-- best wishes
