I effed up my meds

Posted by LlurpsieNoodle on October 2, 2007, at 0:13:49

I forgot to pick up meds from pharmacy two days in a row, then I took them this am (zonked out of my brain all day) and then another dose this evening to get back to my regular schedule. Now I'm insomniac, nauseous and feel very dizzy.

let this be a lesson-- once a day. same time every day.

Scary how 48 hours is enough to send me into withdrawal. Scary how the side effects come back so quickly.

Hope this doesn't last too long.

Hi Llurpsie,

Do you mean that you took two doses within the the same day? That may be undesirable and it is best to ask your pdoc what to do about missed doses. The side effects could be due to the double dose.
I hope you feel better soon.

Take care,
Nellie.

yeah, That's what I did. dumb, huh? I felt sick (nauseous and insomniac) all night long and now my heart is beating too fast when I stand up. oh well. I'll survive.

yep. right on both counts...

Lurpsie well at least you know they are working for you as I feel nothing with a missed dose and they don't work. But the rapid heartrate is of concern to me did you let your pdoc know what happened? Phillipa

Man that is so easy to do. My guess is that you will normalize back out in short course.

Watch your blood pressure though, a racing heart when you stand usually indicates postural hypotension. It should pass, but I would call you pdoc and explain what happened.

Really, I would.

Seldom.

Oh lady of the noodle, it's a yucky way to learn a yucky lesson/experience. At least most of us only do it once, and learn never do it again. I'm so sorry you had to go through that. C

ps I did it with effexor xr, and valium, horrid!!!!

I feel a little better now.
I had ataxia (read discoordinated jerky mvmts) headache nausea, tremors all day long, but managed to get through a shift at work with minimal drama.

hopefully I feel better after a good nights rest.

now where is that rest?

And you didn't spill anything? Wow I'm impressed what do you now have for sleep? Phillipa

I take sonata (almost typed snota), which puts me out for an hour, but then I wake up. couldn't sleep again last night. I should probably be taking klonopin, but I don't feel like it.

T suggested that I exercise this afternoon to help me de-stress and sleep better. Good little client that I am, I went jogging/running/walking for 20 minutes and did an ab workout video this afternoon. Also scheduled a massage with a m.Therapist.

hi seldom,
I was at the doctor's for immunizations and they checked my vitals and I was kind of low on bp 105/60. Usually I'm 110/70. Keep in mind that the bp is at the Dr.'s office, which makes me nervous...

I would watch that pretty closely. How do you feel now?

the physical side effects are better. I've been having a lot of racing thoughts and thoughts of terrible things, so I've been hitting the benzos. helping.

I feel better now, no more nausea or headache. I don't feel too dizzy, just uncoordinated, which is pretty typical for me...

Lurpsie definitely the klonopin for a few days. No sonata is very week. And that isn't a bad blood pressure at all very healthy. They now say anything even 90/say 60's is okay. Aim for aroung low l00's and below 80. And you will probably sleep tonight as you must be tired. Love Phillipa
