antagonizing dopamine AUTOreceptors. (for AD fx)

i'm wondering if all antipsychotics do this or just amisulpiride? i live in canada and am currently taking low dose zyprexa (2.5mg). will it only target the auto receptors at low dose or is it only amisulpride that does this? if it does is zyprexa the best to combat the ruminating and amotivation caused by depression? and when does this fatigue and weakness go away?

Well, not surprisingly, I think you can do this with sulpiride, also. ;)

I've also heard that you can accomplish this with really low doses of typicals, like 0.5mg haloperidol. Consult a knowledgeable physician before self-medicating with Haldol, though! Some people have reported good results with 0.25mg risperidone. Best to use amisulpride, though, as it's the most studied for that purpose.
