For anyone who ever tried AMISULPRIDE

Posted by Michael Bell on May 19, 2004, at 3:20:16

How did you prevent poopout?

Do NMDA antagonists prevent tolerance and potentiate the effects?

What did combo of amisulpride and adderall/dexedrine feel like?

What do you thing is the best drug/herb to take with amisulpride for social phobia or dysthymia (besides klonopin)?

Thanks.

Michael, I think we're both suffering from precisively the same condition (social anxiety which is only partially treated by klonopin). I take amisulpride (25mg twice a day) and I hardly notice it. When I first started it, it had an activating, energizing affect. But amisulpride quickly fades. I have no idea about NMDA antagonism as an anti-tolerance mechanism. If you could, please explain why such a compound could prevent tolerance.

Have you considered upping your amisulpride dose? I believe I read that most people using it for social phobia take 50mg twice a day, and some take up to double that. Beyond that, apparently, its other uses kick in.

I've tried at dosages from 25mg-50mg with mild results. Sometimes it seems helpful and sometimes it seems like it doesn't do anything. Right now I'm taking 25mg Amisulpride, 500mg Aniracetam, 2mg Klonopin and 50mg Lamictal daily. I'd like to ditch the Amisulpride and try Adderall but I can't get any doc to prescribe it to me.

It worked for my dysthymia/social-anxiety FANTASTICALLY for 2 months. Then stopped working.
50mg/day.

I've no idea.

It was GREAT. Totally turned my dysthymic, anergic, social-anxiety mood around - I was full of energy and no axiety at all.

Hmm... L-Theanine? Gotu-Kola? SJW? GHB?

Well I forgot good old MAOis Nardil and Parnate. They seem to be the most effective, right after clonazepam.

How did you like the effects of L-theanine? Did you combine it with anything?

I combined it with Klonopin. It has *slight* calming effect alone and a little bit more calming effect when mixed with Klonopin.
