I believe I am experienceing what they call social phobia or social anxiety disorder. I find that I am much too concerned with what I look like, what I say, what I do around other people. My insecurities are so ridiculous. I am an extremely good looking, intelligent female,healthy,fit,slim,tanned,nice skin, etcetc...but yet can't see beauty when I look in the mirror no matter how hard I try. I recieve compliments all the time in regards to things that relate to my potential etc...BUT I cannot seem to believe a single positive compliment that comes my way. I get asked out by men all the time but always decline their invitations. THIS ALL HAS TO STOP. I cannot stand it anymore. It's as if I view myself with this completely distorted imagination and even being aware of that doesn't seem to help. This has only been happening over the past 4 years now. I once had luck on an AD called REMERON. I was taking 15mg of it a day and I for the first time in years finally felt like my old confident self again. Unfortunately I had to discontinute using this AD due to the nasty weight gain side effect. What I really appreciated about the REMERON was the great effect it had on taking away almost all of my ridiculous insecurities and it gave me motivation and my sense of humor back again.
ANYWAY my question to everyone is: Has anyone had a similar experience or can u relate to anything I've said and if so can you suggest what other AD's might be suitable considering my symptoms???

Also pretty good combinations are: Klonopin+Adderall/Dexedrine, Klonopin+Provigil.
You can also try natural, but effective, approaches: Picamilon, Kava Kava, L-Theanine.
There are also anecdotes that Ultram can be great medication. Personally, I've been using Ultram for a short time, but found it 2nd best to Dexedrine which gave me tolerance.Take care,

Dexedrine for anxiety? I'll admit it's less anxiety-provoking than Ritalin, but let's not forget it would almost always require to be mixed with Klonopin if you're looking to actually reduce symptoms...
Kava Kava has messed up dosing, tolerance comes on after day 1, it's not worth tallying what is effective on any given day.
Klonopin is the best best, Ultram is a cute option I was never suggested during my 16 month quest of my old doc to avoid Klonopin (god forbid I get complete control of my symptoms on a regular basis).
Right now I'm looking at Straterra, my doc thinks it might have a shot at lessening my social anxiety. I mean, I'd prefer not to rely so much on taking a pill I dose 1mg 3x/day... it's annoying. I wish they made extended release, I don't care what people say about how it lasts so long. 3mg in AM doesn't work, I tried that method.

I also have social phobia and what works for me is Luvox (250 mgs daily) and Tranxene SD (extended release) 22.5 mg tablet in the morning.
