Started with 37.5-will be going off welbuterin slowly over the next few days-Blood pressure was up a bit.I think it was the 400 welbuterin I went up to.I now fell like shit so lets see how this goes.

I just started two days ago. Yesterday and the day before I was quite nauseous, a bit dizzy, and felt sinus pressure. Now I just feel the pressure and increased muscular tension in my shoulders. I am a bit apprehensive about all the side effects posted here, but try to remember that people are more likely to post if they have problems than if everything is going fine. I would love to hear how it goes for you. Are you planning on upping your dosages on any particular schedule?

Effexor raised my blood pressure so monitor yours carefully. The side effects (SE's) aren't fun. Mine usually took 2-3 weeks to fade away after each dosage increase. Take Benedryl at night if you have insomnia or if you get the early morning wakeups (3:00 am). <~ that's a strange one. Appetite decrease is fairly common along with an upset tummy. I stuck with Effexor through all these SE's because it worked fairly quickly on my anxiety & stress at work. I sure yawned alot though. :) If you decide not to stick with Effexor, taper off slowly to avoid withdrawal.

I am on 37.5 for 7 days then up to 75 for 7 then I'll see the MD and go from there-so far no ill effects-I am tapering off welbuterin and having a "holiday"I guess.I did remember this but the welbutern worked for over 5 years before this poop out.Pamalor before that

No ill effects-I have not been able to work for 6 weeks so it would be nice for this to kick in fast.When i say no effects I mean none.I guess thats good with some of the horror stories I have read.I wonder if some of the stories were exaggerated because of distorted thinking?I read Joseph Murphy books over and over and find they help when I'm not sick.Only 75 cents on www.half.com Jonathan Parker guided medatations are great also.But I have trouble medatating when I don't feel well.I guess its like having diabetes.Once you get the insulin in you can then start taking care of yourself or keep eating crap.

I have been taking Effexor for almost 4 weeks now. I love it. It seems to be the only anti-depressant that seems to work and quick. I do have side effects but they aren't bad enough to make me want to stop. I am suffering from insomnia so I am also taking restoril. Even with that I only get 4 hours of sleep. If I don't take it I get 0. Does the insomnia wear off? I don't want to have to stop taking it. Will increasing the dose help? I am taking 75mg twice a day.

I take 100mg Trazadone at night to help me sleep along with Benedryl. More times than not it helps me sleep, especially if I stick to my sleep schedule and not nap during the day. I've never seen anyone post that the insomnia effect of Effexor goes away at higher dosages. I have chronic insomnia so I can't answer that question for you. I wouldn't bump your dosage up until you need to.

I am high as a kite-Eff has me stoned big time.I used to get high and drink a lot-Its been around 10 years ago.I stopped when I found it caused my depression to come on or get worse.Tonight I drove around and listened to music for a few hours high as a kite.I can see how this feeling would freak someone out.Like friends I had who would freak on pot.I had a great time.Its been a while sence I enjoyed myself like this.Still down but stoned.well this is something.

Took day 5 tonight-was to tired during the day so I will take in the pm.I feel light headed but the things I thought of today-old problems that I got solutions for-could not have been thought of if I had short term memory loss.

just took 2'nd 75 of eff.felt a wave of relief last night.Still tired today.only side effect is being tired.seeing Dr. fri.bet I'll go up to 150.
not as hungry.I gained 10lbs since this depression started.3 months now.have done nothing I used to do.work out,business,meditate.I have poped out of these so many times I am optimistic I will again but boy this sucks(as you all know)
