Update

Posted by Rach on July 1, 2002, at 22:39:12

Hi guys,

Can't really say for sure where I'm at right now. Up and down a lot. But more ups than downs, I think.

Having money problems, owe too much money, not enough coming in and a lack of jobs to earn any. So that's weighing on my mind.

But still loving Performing Arts, getting fit. I performed a song for my Dad's birthday. It was the first time my fam had ever heard me sing, and it went down really well.

Also really lonely though. Have taken to cuddling my old teddy bears. Really wish I could have a cat in my apartment. Also took advantage of a friend's cuddles (I know he has a crush on me) and now feel terrible because I love him as my friend, nothing more.

But apart from these dumb little things (that is more life than depression) I'm doing well. Its just the loneliness does hurt deeply.

It does sound as though you are having more good times than bad Rach. It's good to hear.
I may have a husband but I know the loneliness feeling too. When no one understands what you feel, it's very lonely.
Here's to someone wonderful coming into your life...
love ya

Tina--There is nothing quite like the desolation of living with a spouse and being lonely and alone.

Rach--All I can say is hang in there. It's another case of time heals all wounds (at least to some extent). I think it is great you sang for your family; congratulations!

Are you a singer by trade? What kind of music do you like to sing to?

Shar

You've got that right shar. I think it's lonlier when you have someone who is so outside and incapable of understanding what is going on inside me. SO many times I have tried to explain and I just can't. It's like two strangers living together sometimes.
thank you for getting that.
big hugs

I also get it Tina; I do have many friends around me, and my family, but often I'm loneliest when I am around them, because being with someone but still feeling lonely is worse than being alone and lonely.

Shar, I am studying performing arts, but I've only been singing for a year and a half. So it was my big debut - I sang Have I Told You Lately. Everyone was crying. I like to sing everything and anything! At the moment I am working on a song from Evita called You Must Love Me. Madonna sings it in the movie.

...
Now no one's knocked upon my door
For a thousand years or more
All made up and nowhere to go
Welcome to this one man show
Just take a seat they're always free
No surprise no mystery
In this theatre that I call my soul
I always play the starring role

So lonely
So lonely....

:)
