I was doing okay on my self-prescribed Effexor stepdown program (from 300 mg a day to 37.5 mg a day in three weeks and then yesterday and today the brain WHOOSH WHOOSH began, and I recalled the advice about Claritin on this board. I took one and the whooshes were gone in about an hour. Thank you to whomever posted it.
On the down side, I'm mean as a snake, ready to get a divorce from someone perfectly nice and cried while doing the dishes (first tears in years, but good God I was sick of napping and feeling like an emotional dial tone.) My pdoc is unaware of all of this, of course.

Hi.
I'm sorry to hear that there are tensions in your marriage. I hope the withdrawal state passes quickly so that you have a clear mind to work with when making important decisions.
What version of Claritin did you use? The people who reported success happened to choose Claritin-D. I am very interested to know if it is the "D" preparation that works best.
Thanks.
