Side Affects of Drying Out

Posted by AdaGrace on October 22, 2004, at 12:53:00

What are they, is there a web site I could visit and read up on it. I am wondering if everyone has seisures, hallucinations, nausea....etc. Or is there certain criteria that determines what side affect someone will have...like, weight, gender, what you drank, for how long, or how much you drink.

Anyone? I am thinking here....really thinking.

Everyone's reactions are different, but it has to do with how long you have been drinking (x number of years), the frequency, and the blood alcohol level. When it's reached the point of a physical addiction I believe the risk of seizures, etc. is higher.
If you have any doubt whatsoever, dry out under medical supervision.
I did it myself at home and felt like I had a flu bug. Lucky me.

"It looks to me as if you've decided for yourself that binge eating disorder is not a real phenomenon, despite its inclusion in the DSM-IV?"

Hmm . . . I think that it's pretty "plain to see" from what I wrote that I DO very much "believe" that over-eating's a "real" disease.

WHooooooo! Just one-second, here!!! I think that it's OBVIOUS that I've not "made up my mind" in regard to "anything" as it pertains to this topic; please PARDON and EXCUSE me, ma'am ("whatever . . .")!!! I mean, really: I merely was attempting to ask a question.

And this--what, exactly?!?--OFFENDS YOU in some "close to the bone" way?

Geez, I'm "sorry," but, please. Come off it!

And? I don't even know what "DSM-IV" IS, so, ma'am? WHO--exactly--is the person "posing." here, anyway, I wonder?

If you've not much to add in as far as info, URL links, &c, then, please; don't repy/respond to my posts, anymore, all right?

Thx.

PC,

I'm certain Allen was responding to another poster in the thread below concerning Drinking and Eating Disorders.

Somehow he posted his response in this thread. I did the same thing once and it caused some confusion.

A perfectly acceptable explanation was given with regard the quotation marks on the reply to the post in question (thread above). An apology, though not necessary, was even offered.

And then all of a sudden, all this antagonism and defensiveness. I don't understand.
