We live in a total controlled society full of anxiety, don't you think so?

Politically I would maybe belong to a "green, moderate social republican"

republican = less state the better

I tend to think of it as a society sadly lacking in control, and in need of a healthy dose of anxiety (or shame). But perhaps that's because I tend to think of things like reality TV and the comment sections of news articles as being a gauge of society.

I agree with both of these points of view.

Politics is anti-social. j/k

When I think of a totally controlled society I think of the USSR, Communist China, North Korea, etc.

And Westmead Children's Hospital. But that is a whole other story.

I feel like I should say I'm sorry or offer other condolences. To you or someone you know.

So I am sorry.

Green. And other stuff but green opens a wide enough window.

I feel the US would find humility and a healthy sense of shame useful. No more anxiety please.

I don't believe democracy is working all that well, but it seems to be the best system we have so far. It's just that I really don't think most people know what will result in the best outcome for everyone. It's just way too complex and most people aren't experts. We're all way too emotional and easily influenced by propaganda and advertising.

I think the best system would be some sort of benevolent dictatorship, but then I'm sure that wouldn't work out well either because it's kind of human nature to become corrupt with power. Also it is pretty much impossible for one person to make everyone happy.

I'm not really sure what would be best, I'm tending towards benevolent dictatorship by artifical intelligence. LOL

hmmm the human being isn't perfect unless it is maybe a computer. But people do not like the idea of a computer alpha male. The instinct of the human being is that they want an alpha. If they're bad or good. People also do want war from time to time when life is too boring. And after bad experiences people do want again freedom... this is like a life cycle. Do you think politics is able to solve real human problems like the destruction of the environment and overpopulation? Stephan Hawking thought that only a gene therapy could save the human being by thinking more rational and not to behave with predominant instinct genes. My observation is that the human being has a very destructive nature not comparable with any other species.

Well I don't know every other species but James Cameron is going to explore them. He's quite crazy, nothing for me.

Look at that

Hey on the subject of totally controlled societies I am reading Joe Bageant "Waltzing at the Doomsday Ball". It is a collection of posthumous essays. His best book is "Rainbow Pie". He also wrote "Deerhunting with Jesus". I have been very impressed.
