Thanks. I've been out of work for 1.5 months unpaid and still have to pay hospital.

It was 101 degrees here at 9 last night. Both of my AC's are barely working. I sit at my computer in bucketloads of sweat.

When I was taking Pristiq, I'd take my lithium etc at night and in less than a minute, violently throw up. Did the same last night without Pristiq.

Could of been the heat or the fact that many, many days, I don't have the energy to go get something to eat.....nothing. Water, that's it.

My brothers and friends are on pins and needles probably just waiting for 'the call'.

I'm doing what I can to make them not have to get that call but I've made no promises to no one.

If somehow my cat was going through this, I'd have him put down. It would be the only humane thing to do.

If there was a god there would have never been a Holocaust. I'm not sure if prayers help anymore and I've totally lost faith in medicine.

Psychiatrist are 1/2 step above dealers, except even dealers have morals not to push drugs that do this to you. Find a good dealer and you get good stuff every time, can anyone here say that about their doctors? I think not.

That's it from Texas, where pets explode in front of your eyes from the heat.

I bet you're losing more than just water, buddy. Can you choke down some gatorade or the equivalent? Maybe you won't feel so wretched. So very sorry it's going like this for you.
You've got plenty of friends on your side, if that counts for anything.

hey Phil,

sounds like you're going through some seriously painful times. I hope you're not getting dehydrated..are you drinking water? These illnesses of ours have a way of convincing us that it will always be this way. What you are going through isn't fair. I think you can get through this, and as someone said 'sometimes, the only way out is through'..or something like that.

Do what you need to to take care of yourself. You are very important to us.

Heat can do funny things to you. just think of all of the movies and songs about the heat---it had to make some kind of contribution to your condition. Work? ----see above about heat. you sound a lot better today----MUCHO BUENO! You don't have to believe in anything like prayers---but you're still here today.:) Back straight---stomach in--and head up!!! Thanks for the update----and making it. I told some folks in chat last night I'd known you for almost a decade and never seen you this bad----but I did know you were tough as nails and held your sense of humor close like a teddy bear. Take care---I gotta get ready for work.

Phil,

Sid is so correct when she wrote this "These illnesses of ours have a way of convincing us that it will always be this way. What you are going through isn't fair."

It won't always be like this. It just *feels* like it won't change.

Work on getting through the minutes. One at a time.

Hoping Doogie calls back soon.

Please try to drink some gatorade in small sips. Dehydration can sneak up on you and create some additional blah symptoms to the bipolar stuff.

((Phil)) We all need you around a lot longer and feeling a ton better.

Keep talking to us here.

thanks y'all.

dr doogie is calling in a suppository
(ewww, I like it..skate a little slower now) for the projectile vomiting but I need to find a way to get it.

I refuse to walk into the store disheveled and naked again. Hair all messed up, 10 day growth of beard, flip flops, a cigar, and a parrot.

I would like them to see my left cheek 'Amy' right cheek 'Winehouse' tattoo's though. It's hard to show them off.

Oh, Phil, dadnabit, you've forced me out of unregistration.(Please forgive quaint substitutions. I know they sound ridiculous.)

"I refuse to walk into the store disheveled and naked again. Hair messed up, 10 day growth of beard, flip flops, a cigar, and a parrot."

Now THAT would be a wonderful tweet (twitter?) for PB.

You're too da*n witty and smart to let this temporary "thing" get you permanently down. I know how hard it is to see beyond it, but you WILL move beyond it, and we'll all the be better for your having made it through.

Thinking of you with affection and hope.

I know SD is a long way from Amy Winehouse, but I thought I caught a whiff. Hey Nineteen?, perhaps?
Haven't heard it in a long time; thanks for reminding me of it.

Thanks for picking up on that! Always a great line. 'Skate a little slower now.'

Steely Dan has been my favorite since the moment I first heard them. Which was when their first album dropped.

Amy is one of the top 3 vocalists of all time. She's a genius and music people and historians will tell you that. Billie Holliday comes in 2nd plus Amy writes the most honest, profound lyrics I've ever heard.

They are both jazz based outfits so they have a lot in common really.

They were for my throwing up, tab. Anyway, he wrote it for pills and I was able to keep them down.

Aggie joke: An Aggie(Texas A& M)went to his doc for some ailment and the doc wrote for some suppositories.
The undergrad didn't improve so went to his doc again.
The doc said, how did those suppositories work for you, son?
He said doc for all the good they did I should have just shoved them up my #ss!

bada bing bada boom!! cymbal crash

For reasons I don't fully understand, I've not been able to listen to music for several years, but it used to be one of my greatest pleasures. A friend who remembers that gave me an Amy Winehouse CD a year or so ago, but I haven't really listened to it.
He knows me, knows what I like (or liked) to listen to. Since she's been recommended by two people I admire (you and friend) I think I'll give Amy a try....maybe this can be a breakthrough for me. Thanks, Phil.

I hope you're beginning to feel better today. Take good care.

It's worth a lot actually. Thank you Kath.

I'm a wee bit manic, sleeping 2 hours a night max. It's 4<30 a.m. and I've been writing on another forum for hours but I'll be fine.

This is one weird disorder. I don't know half of what it can do. I don't want to know. : )

> It's worth a lot actually. Thank you Kath.

~ ~ Thanks for letting me know that Phil. THAT means a lot to me!

> I'm a wee bit manic, sleeping 2 hours a night max. It's 4<30 a.m. and I've been writing on another forum for hours but I'll be fine.

~ ~ Sleep deprivation is awful, when I experience it - I feel horrid the next day. But it's worse now that I'm older. It didn't used to bother me as much. I'm glad you have something to do during those 'cant sleep' hours.

> This is one weird disorder. I don't know half of what it can do. I don't want to know. : )

~ ~ Phil - have you ever tried, or are you interested in trying any alternative methods of health care? I've had really positive results from some of them.

I'm keeping you in my heart. Guess what - this is the visualization that I'll do during today. (When I remember, which will probably be pretty often!) If you want it tomorrow also, babblemail me:

While I breath in, I'm breathing into my 'being' warm, healing, soothing, comforting, strengthening, scintillating sunshine & since you're being kept in my 'heart', it surrounds you & seeps gently into you, right into your whole being.

xoxo Kath

PS - if you think this is too totally weird & don't want me to do it, let me know.

Funny thing is, by having in mind to do it for someone else, it helps me remember to do it for myself!

I worked with a 'breathing lady. Remember, approx 12 hours sleep in 7 days been so manic for so long I could not stop typing much less breathing exercises.
This disease is wicked.
Got in touch with on call doc today and he switched my meds all around and called in a script for horse killer doses of Zyprexa.
Dropped lexapro, upped and split dose of lithium, take Klonopin prn.
My doc called later and said what did Howser(Doogie) say? He agreed with doogie so I will sleep tonight...no doubt.
Been one heckuva ride girl.

So when you finally get the med dose that zonks you out, do you sleep, is it really hard to wake up? For ex, would you sleep say 10 hours & then wake up & be able to get up, or would you sleep for 2 days, etc?
