It must be a popular site! I tried TexasChic and it was taken, but then I tried TXChic and it wasn't. Did you try adding numbers to your name, like maybe your birthday? You might try adding them to the first of your name, like 123olivepit.

I LOVE Ulta! I actually try to avoid it because I love it so much.
Is Bare Minerals the same as Bare Essentials? I've heard they are good but on the expensive side. I'd like to find a foundation that covers well without looking heavy. Actually, what I would like is to have demabrasion (sp) done so that my skin is clear and smooth. Of course I can't afford that either. I guess I should actually be happy my skin looks as good as it does! :-)

The only thing, and I don't usually wear foundation, I tried the bare minerals foundation in the store and I felt like because its powdery it would show wrinkles and flaws not hide them, don't you think? Just seems like an oil free foundation would be better before applying minerals. I love this one little jar because you can get all over color, contour, and layer it till your happy. I'd say one jar of bare minerals would be worth 2 or 3 other products. I don't think you can go wrong with this color either.So you have an ULTA near you, haha. They built a new one near me and I haven't stepped FOOT in it. I know I'll spend the mortgage payment in their if given half a chance. But the one I was at with my niece had all kinds, cover girl, revlon, plus the good stuff. Dangerous territory though.I have a friend, who has a friend, haha, that had dermabrasion, she said his face looked like a baby's butt when they were done. You first! I need to get something done about these racoon eyes.
If it were me, I'd spend the money on one foundation (I wonder if you went to one of those counters at the mall if they'd give you some free samples? Anyway, I'd spend it on the foundation and one jar of bare minerals if you want color. It DOES make a difference. I tried to get her result with blush. Nah. And get the rest from the drug store. I use about 1/10th of whats in my bathroom, I'd be happy to share my secrets but you'll have to let me know what you like. I have it all.
Now I wanna get my hair done and take a day to spend in Ulta. Maybe a massage after. Yeah, thats gonna happen, lol. Let me know if you want brands and colors. GOOD foundation ;-)

Silicone based primers do not work well for me with mineral foundations as also oil control products don't mix well as they tend to produce a cakey look.
I like bareminerals but have found Walgreen's brand is good. I don't care for the L'oreal versions as they have too much of the shiny light diffusing pigments for me - the Oz Tin Man look isn't attractive on me.
I love that most places allow for returns if one isn't happy. That's actually a fairly new development for cosmetic purchases. It's great to not be stuck with bucks worth of stuff you can't or refuse to use.
I have a good cheap hair product tip if you're interested.....

Sure, I'd love any recommendations! My skin is oily though, so I usually get oil free makeup. And I'm VERY pale, but with warm/yellow undertones. Its hard to find makeup that is pale and warm. I guess most people with pale skin have a pinkish color.

So what is Hyaluronic Acid? What does it do? And what is Clinique's Dramatically Different? Is it a primer?

I've never even used a primer! I don't even use moisturizer because my skin is so oily. I do sometimes use Nuetragema (sp) Healthy Skin (I get the Walmart store brand). It has alpha hydroxy in it, among other things. I really like it.

Oh yeah, I've been taking advantage of that little trick for a while now! Eckerds/CVS has been doing that for years. I plan on taking back the mineral foundation that was too dark.

Right now my hair is REALLY dry because I bleached it. I just ordered some Biosilk online. Its $42+ everywhere I've looked around here, and I found it online for $20.00, but then the postage was about $12! But that's still a savings of around $10, so I went ahead and ordered it. Its the best thing I've found for dry hair so far, but I'm sure there's something better out there.
I wondered if there was something at the health food store I could get. Years ago I used to buy johoba oil at a health food store and use it on my hair, but I can't remember how well it worked. I may have to try that again.

TIP-from my niece for anyone who still curls their eyelashes: heat the top metal piece with your hair dryer (check its not too hot) then curl, they will stay like that all day!!! (She bought one and it was worthless.)
Thats it, Dr. Bob is going to have to add another board. Can you imagine the extensive (money saving) tips that could be shared here!!!!

~~~ It's their mainstay moisturizer. Been around for years. The original stuff is way too heavy for me but the gel formulation is light and non-greasy.

I found in lieu of pricey emollient leave-in lotions, I use... wait for it.... plain 'ole original cherry almond Jergen's lotion. I just take a pump or so and work it thur towel dried hair before drying. It doesn't build up, it make my hair soft and non-frizzy and non-fried appearing. It also doesn't scr*w with my color. I love it. I urge you to try it. If you don't find it works for you, if nothing else, you've got some extra body lotion.

Yes, I curl my eyelashes, otherwise they stick straight out and you can't see them at all! I always thought I had super short lashes until I tried curling them. It makes a world of difference. I have heard of the hairdryer trick, but I always forget about it. I think I will try to remember though if it makes the curl last all day!

YES! I forgot about Smashbox! I borrow it fom my niece every time I see her. Don't know where to get it Ulta?, but its goooood stuff. I really love the gel eyeliner. I can apply it like nothing I've ever used.
For hair, if its dry or over processed: (I put just a dime size mixed, lasts FOREVER) Biosilk: silk therapy and Silk Repair: silk protein leave-in conditioner (yellow tube), use mostly on ends. Awesome with dryer or straightener.

You are brilliant to have come up with this. Okay. First, I may have mislead you, what I meant was get a really good foundation that matches your skin exactly. I think you would have to trial and error at the CVS or just go get the good stuff and be done with it.Most of the make-up I buy is cheap, but some things I can't do without! Oh! I think we have exactly the same skin tone. It is hard! Everything is made for pinkish pale. I think you would really like that Bare Mineral "warmth" if you can get your hands on it.
Here's my everyday (10 minutes max) Neutrogena under eye cream (or whatever you like) Neutrogena 3-in-1 Concealer for eyes. The one I bought is even to pale for my ghostly white skin "light 10", I'd go one darker. This next is GREAT if you're in a hurry: Cover Girl eye enhancers (3-pk eyeshadow) #110 Shimmering sands. Really pretty with blond hair! I rarely use the darkest, but light under brow and medium on rest. Then use the light a little over brow and in corners of eyes!

Her eyes are brown.(She's breathtaking) Take a blue pencil and line bottom lid, I use maybelline dusky navy or whatever I have laying around. Do you have brushes? A MUST. A small flat brush. THEN...take your brush and wipe it across Covergirl eyeshadow in violet frappe(or closest you can find) and reline your eyes OVER the blue liner. It will set it forever.
I could do this ALL day but alas, no-one cares what I look like right now so off I go to clean...Yuk.
I'll be going back to work soon too (scary) so I will refer to this sight so I feel *Sparkly*

I have green eyes, they're kind of an army green. Here's my routine: after using Revlon Colorstay foundation and powder, I apply an ivory eyeshadow from lash to brow, then I use my blush in the crease - in a very pale coral/tan color. I then use a brush with powder on it to blend it all very well.
Then I add the same blush on the cheekbone, and finish with mascara, eyebrow pencil and lipstick. This makes for a very natural look, which goes well with a dark red lipstick (which I love!).
For night or a special occasion I will add liner, usually dark brown, but sometimes green and occasionally black. I do the same thing you do, I apply the liner then brush eyeshadow over it.
This is fun!

Wet "n Wild makes fantastic LASTING pencil and liquid liners.
I admit to even buying MaryKate and Ashley. Kinda felt like buying Tinkerbell but they had the color I was looking for in a chunky shadow pencil.
