I'm sorry Pat. I was wondering what was up.
Bad neighbours are a complete pain.

I'm currently in the video shop.
Johnny Cash is playing (I wear the Black) and when I go to the desk to organise a computer we start with (me speaking first)
'President Obama!'
'Yes!'
'The bookies will have to pay out!'
'Austen Tayshus says he should last 2 weeks!'

But maybe the world will recover some optimism.

Thank you! All of you! It means alot to have someone at my back. :-)

I talked to the neighbor who witnessed the incident and he is totally on board. I was kind of worried about him. He can be wishywashy at times. Thank goodness, he draws the line at violence.

The investigator will now call the "offender" in for an interview and I'll be interviewed again.

Off to bed. Didn't sleep much last night. xoxox pat

Hi Pat,

If he threatens you in any way get a restraining order against him. That gives you some protection and the police more grounds to arrest him if he harasses you again.

It's good to hear that your witness will testify and I hope that Mr. Jerk Neighbor spends a few days detoxing in a jail cell.

Safe cyber hugs to you and your dogs.

Thanks, to everyone.

I am going to call the officer and ask about a restraining order. This is the same man who climbed a fence, with a chainsaw, and cut my trees down.

From what the officer indicated, this will be more than a few days in jail. I bet he is going to have plenty of time to contemplate his navel.

Thanks, again. Pat

I'm so very very sorry about all of this. I'm so thankful you are, for the most part, I guess - okay.

Absolutely, positively follow up on that restraining order. You gotta get this guy on the court's radar.
Yes, it's just a piece of paper, BUT it gives you the power of a court order. Violation, no matter how small, of a court order is, in some juristictions, a big deal and will immediately result in the issuance of a warrant for arrest.

You just have to make sure the police actually serve the warrant if there is a violation. If not, a call to the issuing judge usually does the trick quite well actually...

welllllll, hello "Seldom "legal eagle" seen! :-)

Thank you for your concern. I am following through with a paper trail that would make the federal government proud. The police have been very, very thorough. (They know him.) He has to blow into the thingamajob before he can start his truck to go to work. He is on THEIR radar, big time. He will get prison time on the 3rd DWI and I suspect that he is going to get to wear some stripes over assaulting me. Being 65 adds to his troubles, considerably. Texas is really hard on hitting your elders. I've never minded my age and now I'm sorta smirking about it. :-)

The incident really brought back some memories that I would rather keep under my rug. After the wrist quit hurting, the pain

started sneaking into my consciousness.

you see, now that just makes me want to go over to that guy's place and do something, well that would probably result in a restraining order being issued against me.

I really hope Texas will take care of you in this regard, in the meantime be sure to take care of yourself.

You're in my prayers

Yeah, I had a brief "flash" when it was going on that what was happening wasn't going to be the worst of it. I also had a nanosecond of thinking I would push him backwards into the street. I would never do that, but it sounded good. :-)

It is the emotions that have me around the neck now. Having to go to the police station wasn't exactly a piece of cake. However, I knew the young man and he was fantastic.

Thank you for your help. xoxo Pat

just kidding Pat---you know I would---seeing you're not broken. As for your future safety---I think a huge shot of pepper spray strategically place in the rectum will do nicely. why can't people just be peaceful potheads and not violent drunks? Sorry for your trouble and as for your dogs----they must feel like they live next to Michael Vick.

Thanks, Bobby! :-)

I'd like to use something more than pepper spray. Although that sure would make him sick and hurt. I've been sprayed with it and subjected to gas, while training for a job and I do not want to go there again!

I am really worried about the dogs. Poor TeddyJack. Having to be crated must bother him very much......Bless him. He gets extra treats.

The jack*** used to throw bones into my yard until I caught on to him. I asked him to not give my dogs anything at all.

Bobby, do you know that two years ago, he crawled over the back fence, drunk, and cut my trees down?

Yup, really winner.

Pat

p.s. MV gets out of prison in June. :-(

I can't believe that a week has passed since the "incident" occurred.

The man is going around the neighborhood telling people "I wish we could get along".....and he has become the victim now. That doesn't surprise me..people will do anything to keep from looking at themselves in a negative light.

I'm doing okay. I haven't heard from the police and am curious about what they have done.

Jeez Pat - I'm sorry. It sounds really uncomfortable.

But surely your neighbours must know what he's like??

It must be awful knowing that he's saying that! I think I'd feel pretty mad - or feel defeated....one or the other.

I hope your neighbours go by what they know of the situation.

Thank you, Kath. He isn't upsetting me at all. There is no defeat for me in this situation. I am right and he is wrong. I'll go down swinging. :-)

My neighbor's friends and families won't visit them because they can't stand this man. Trust me, the neighbors know him.

I appreciate, very much, your concern. Cross your fingers that we can get this over with!

I can now use my backyard. I think the wife may have him chained to a bedpost. I have not seen either of them since the 19th.

I guess he will dry out if given jail time. Evidently, if he tries to plea it down, I'll have input. :-)

Pat,

I have been following this and the whole thing makes me ill. I hear the strength in your posts, I'm that way, but to have to go up against a drunk and be afraid for your dogs must be difficult. Anyway I'm thinking of you, and your dogs.

You know whats ironic? I got my two dogs thinking they would protect me if needed, now all I think (we've had a lot of armed breakins lately at local stores, bank) is please don't hurt my dogs!!!! I wouldn't let them out if I thought someone was outside for instance. We do love our doggies!

Anyway, maybe I'm behind here but hope you've given some thought to that restraining order, pepper spray the hel* out of him if he comes near you!! He assaulted you and I hope he goes to jail where he belongs. Maybe you'll get lucky and he and the Mrs. will just hit the road. That is my wish for you this eve. (actually, no, 1st he goes to jail for two years then he hits the road.)

Actually......wish I knew someone in low places.

Goodnight,

~Jade

Actually, I don't have my backyard back. I went to hang clothes out and he yelled "howdy, neighbor". I didn't look at him. Later I saw him teasing the dogs. I'll be in court in about 3 hours after a restraining order.

I am assuming that he thinks if he is "friendly" that somehow we can put this behind us? That is how he acted after he cut my trees down.

I am very mad now. This is an anger that I haven't had in quite some time.

Pat,

this is unbelievable. Will the restraining order keep him a good distance from you and your dogs, too? Why did he cut down your trees? Be careful. This guy sounds like a lunatic.

I will be praying for peace for you (and that this piece of s*it guy spends a good amount of time in jail).
