Chocolate fondue

Posted by Deneb on August 19, 2007, at 1:33:59

I had some today and it was soooo good. :-)

Yummy.

I like banana dipped in chocolate the most.

My second favourite is strawberry.

I just want to eat chocolate fondue now. LOL It's healthy right? All that fruit must be healthy. LOL

I'm thinking of starting a chocolate fondue diet. LOL Whenever I'm hungry, just have some chocolate fondue.

I wish chocolate had zero calories. Then I could really eat it all the time.

I'm going to buy a fondue set tomorrow. I want chocolate fondue! I'm serious about that chocolate fondue diet! Chocolate is healthy right? I thought I read or saw something about how people who eat chocolate live longer.

I'm seriously going to buy a fondue set tomorrow! Chocolate fondue!

I've read that dark chocolate can be very healthy, all those polyphenols or something, it keeps your blood thin and arteries clear. Shame about the cream, but I suppose one could hope that on balance the two would offset the drawbacks of each other? And then there's the fruit to consider, which I hope would tip the balance in favor of healthy and nourishing, though I'm partial to marshmallows myself.

I saw a model in the paper last week, quite possibly Elle Macpherson, advertising her new chocolate truffle diet. I wonder if you could base the fondue diet on diabetic dark chocolate? It's supposedly lower in calories and has a lower GI index obviously, not sure about the taste though.

Hmmm...I'll look up diabetic chocolate, is it made with sugar alcohols?

I was talking to my family and aunt about chocolate fondue and my aunt said she'll give me one she doesn't use. She got it as part of a work gift exchange or something. So I got a chocolate fondue set for free!

I bought some Hershey's semi-sweet chocolate chips and some cream. I just made some chocolate sauce. I bought some bananas too. I'm eating chocolate fondue!

I used the smallest pot and I put in about 2 handfuls of chocolate chips and a splash of cream. I added more cream to thin it out. Right now the main problem is I need a bigger candle under the fondue set. I only have tea candles.

I think my sauce is missing something, it needs a secret ingredient. It's good, but not quite as good as the chocolate fondue at the fair I ate yesterday. Hmmm...it could be that the atmosphere of fun and excitement helped it taste better, but I don't think that's it... I'm going to scour the net to find the perfect fondue recipe!

Chocolate Fondue Rules!

I add a small amount of almond flavoring to chocolate fondue dipping "stuff". I use milk chocolate or white "chocolate" because I prefer it - I guess I'm not getting the heart healthy benefits as from dark chocolate but my old habits and taste bubs' likings are difficult to change.

It is good stuff alright..

I used to be the social chair for the student organization in my uni department. I *almost* had the faculty advisor approve buying a chocolate fountain for use at social events. That would have been the highlight of my reign

Deneb- probably kidding yourself if you try to make this a healthy part of your diet. Just remember- all good things in moderation...

lucky you to get a set though.

Almond flavouring, hmmm...I could try that. I don't have almond right now, but I have vanilla.

I also prefer milk chocolate to dark chocolate. White chocolate sounds good too, but it's probably even more unhealthy LOL.

Yeah, all that chocolate can't be healthy. Or rather, it might be healthy in some aspects, but it's probably too calorific to eat everyday. I should stick with yogurt. Hey, I can have a yogurt fondue!

Must eat everything in fondue form. LOL
