Lexy, I eat italian. I think anything with less than 2 carbs per serving is okay. Lots of companies now have low carb salad dressing. I have tried the ranch and it is very good. No difference that I could tell from regular ranch. Even my daughters didn't notice. A little tip for you, don't buy low carb cereal or bread. YUCKY with capital letters! Also get yourself some sugar free candy. Russell Stovers makes really good ones. It got me through some tough times in the beginning. Good luck, Mrs. C

the bread does taste pretty bad, but if you toast it it is much better. put a little butter or olive oil on both sides and stick it in the toaster oven.

Hey everyone...we have been missing some oldies..Not sure where everyone goes...K hasnt been around for a while..I know that lynda is on vacation for a couple of weeks..but there are a lot of people missing :( Well I have another one of my therapy sessions tomorrow my EMDR..and nervous as heck I hate going through all the stuff from my past it gets me going for at least a couple of days really bad...But have to do it I guess..I always almost cancel or not show to my appt at the last minute..wasnt wigging about it until right now..Just not ready for the nightmares again after therapy I always get a nightmare or two....We will see how it goes..Hope everyone is doing good...and everyone has a great great Friday..Take care Mystic

Can I have some of the candies you mentioned during the "induction phase". I am thinking I will lose some on Low Carb then switch back the weight watchers when I get to a weight I would like to maintain. Does this sound like a OK idea? When do you start to see the weight drop off, man I am ready!

Yes, I did have the candy during induction. Just not alot. I would take a bite or two during the day when I had sugar cravings. I did not see any results until the two weeks were up. I weighed myself every day and didn't lose a pound. Then it just happened. Seven pounds were gone in 2 weeks! You'll do fine but it's hard during the first week. You may have sugar withdrawal. I don't understand therapy, but I do understand reliving past hurts and I feel for you. But it sounds like you need to face your past sooner or later... Be strong and courageous, and face it "sooner" rather than "later" so you can go on with your life. That reminds me of what God told Joshua when he took Moses' place of leadership.
Joshua 1:5-6 "As I was with Moses, so I will be with you. I will not leave you nor forsake you. Be strong and of good courage."
That's a pretty good promise! "As I was with Moses, so I will be with Mystic. I will not leave her nor forsake her." So pull together your strength and courage, and meet the challenge head-on. Let us know how you are doing tomorrow.

i am going to be a diesel mechanic... after three years i can the apply for inspector job and inspect those big trucks and then give 'em tickets if evrything isn't right.... pay back for all those nasty truckers that thought i was only out there to get layed...that harrased me...i will have fun with that

I have been on vacation from work and I have been trying to catch up around the house and running ragged with the kids.I have been feeling a little anxious again like on the verge of a panic attack so I have been forced to take a xanax the past few nights and my heart has been doing those crazy beats again which really stinks because they went away after I started taking the lexapro. I am praying that the Lex is not starting to poop out on me and it's just because I am under a little bit of stress lately ie my son went away to football camp on tues and won't be back until Saturday so I was nervous about that being his first time away from home and my dad has to go to the hospital for angioplasty because he has a blockage and I know thats a kinda easy procedure but he has a kidney transplant and the dye they inject you with can kill the kidney.
He had it done about 6 months ago and it worked out fine but he feels how lucky is he going to get again - so that is weighing on my mind.
I just hope that it is all the stress that is making me feel this way and it's not my meds pooping out on me. we will see.
How are you doing? Believe me I think about you guys everyday and really miss talking to you all but I always try to check the post at night.

It's hard to tell if it is the meds or not, because stress can mess up our minds and our bodies. Hang in there and make sure you are taking good care of yourself (eating right, getting enough rest, doing things that YOU enjoy, etc). Let us know how you are doing

Trucker I love your reasons for going back to school the inspector thing is great. I come from a family of truck drivers - father, grandfather, all my uncles, cousins and yes my husband. They all drive the big rigs. I always wanted to learn how to drive one myself - maybe someday.
Mags where have you been and how are you feeling?
Mystic and Mrs. C I wrote you guys personally and I love you both so much and of course my lexy chanel girl I love her too you guys are my personal angels and to all of the yo-yos I have forgot...sorry I feel so brain dead today. Well I am going to go and pack, its my husbands birthday and I am taking him away for the weekend tomorrow and not coming back until Monday night so I will check in again later but if I don't catch up with you guys before I leave tomorrow then I will talk to you Monday night.
