Manic laser treatments can remove the tattoos. More than one is needed though. Phillipa

Can you buy a tattoo needle yourself and take it to him, and watch him take it out of the packaging and use it on you?

they do that put on new surgical gloves, a new neddle, your own new ink, and i think your own batch of coulors, years ago every one shared the lot the big thing them was hepititis, but you were young an didnt care ,today there are more things lurking now. like i said the clients in the tattoo place leave a lot to be desiered.its not worth the risk.

I had a chuckle at your comment about the young people in nursing homes with tattoos. My daughter has 4 or 5. I asked her how she was going to feel when she was old and in a nursing home with all her tattoos..she just laughed and said everyone her age has them, so they would all sit around and compare their saggy tattoos.

As to your fears Manic..the only thing I could think is if he is an award winning tattoo artist, he wouldn't want any slip ups in his shop, as he would be liable for not only lawsuits, but his reputation as an artist would be in the tanker.

Got to go to bed..i think my night meds are kicking in...zzzzzzzzzzzzzz..

manic, can you try other shops? just to check out their atmosphere?
that one might just be located is a "less desireable" side of town? (regarding the clientelle)

also, a friend of mine has many tatoo's (he too has bipolar and BAD OCD), and he is really freaky about the cleanliness issue.
anyway, the place he goes to does open up everything new infront of you if you ask. the only thing he uses with everyone is the tatooing device (don't know what that's called)
but like you mentioned, the needle, the colors, gloves, all that is new for you.

so i guess what i'm saying is 1) make sure they have no problem with opening new infront of you and 2)check out several shops regarding their 'atmosphere'. there are also some artists that do 'work on the side' where they might come to your home or do an 'afterhours' kinda thing.

best wishes.
b2c.
