Yes, I tried acupuncture for depression. I wish that I could have kept up with it, because I did feel it was helping. I couldn't afford it. The doc wanted me to see him 2X - 3X a week at 90- 120 per visit. No can do.

It took about 4 visits, before I started feeling something. It gave me a high afterward.

Yes, it helps tremendously. I've only ever been to one acupuncturist, and he's very good. I find though, that in order to get the best out of my treatment, I need to be very specific about what I want; what's bothering me *the most*. I went last week because I was having so much trouble with my sleep and my mental functions. One session, and I was calmer and slept better than I have in a long time (read: months). Gotta go again next week .. as far as I know the effect is cumulative, so it's important not to keep going until problem is resolved. Good luck.

Ew, I mean it's important to *keep going* until problem resolved. Must proof my posts before I send, sorry. And fyi it's $64 a session here, in another part of the same country; mine's done by a medical doctor, so I feel happy about that too.

Wow, I am amazed at the price difference. This doc was from China and he wrote all his notes in chinese. He gave me herbs that all the instructions were in chinese. Of course, he had them in English on a sheet.

Wow,
The results you guys have received from acupuncture is exciting for me. I mean after years of depression and insomina, could this be the answer!!!?!?! Oh yeah the place i go to is a school for traditional chinese medicine so therefore students will be working on me but they will be supervised. I hope it works out well

Thnx again
