So I got this stuff (intentionally for med-induced anorgasmia) & have tried it once. BOY does it give you some oomph! I haven't tried it for sex yet, but I took a gram of it when it arrived and had all the energy in the world! I didn't feel high, but it certainly felt like a stimulant. I've felt nothing quite like it before, but found myself rushing around getting things done with complete ease. Total stamina! Wonder if its a testosterone 'buzz'? I also had a kind of 'come-down' from it. Nothing like you get from typical stims but more of a yawny-tired feeling. Wasn't that bad at all.
Obviously my next experiment will take place in the bedroom ;)

Does HGW actually affect testosterone? I didn't think it did.
Since you're on Marplan, have you measured your blood pressure to see if it's going up or down? I gather it didn't do anything too drastic, but it would be interesting to see if it has any effect at all.

And the tub it comes in says "Serving Size: 1 Gram", so I'm just following what the label says.

I dont know either. That was just a guess as to where all the energy came from. Perhapse it was the high libido that manifested itself as energy in me - after all I had no intentions of having sex when I took it the 1st time. I dont know too much about it. Good idea. I took a gram at 8pm this evening & its now 11pm. I just took my blood pressure & it read 117 SYS + 83 DIA (117/83? I'm not good at interpreting results & I've lost my instruction book). Does that sound ok? Next time I'll measure it before & after.
I did plan on having sex tonight. Plan was to take the HGW, watch a film (Transformers) & then have sex, but the film seems to have completely took my mind off the idea. Ah well, it was a great film anyway. :)
And Moli, if you know any more on how HGW works or if you can post some links then please let us know. Thanks.

117/83 is a fine BP.
There's always a worry that even something that doesn't cause a HC can cause hypertension that would be unhealthy long-term, although that isn't the case here.

So I tried the HGW again & it worked!
Despite the stimulation I experienced previously I decided to try it before bedtime this time. My girlfriend was asleep so out came the vids! ;)I took 500mg (standardized at 20% icariin) at 12am on an empty stomache. At 1am I had a small snack, cup of tea then went to 'do the biz'.
10 minutes is all it took! There was no 'numbing' or frustration like I've had recently. I felt excited most of the way through. It wasn't a powerfull orgasm but was one nonetheless!What a sense of relief!!! :)
I'll keep trying various doses & at different times of the day. And of course I'll try again WITHOUT the HGW just to be sure the anorgasmia hasn't simply fixed itself all by itself.

Too myself anyway. Christmas eve I had sex with my partner. I took a whole gram this time, thinking I might need a higher dose in 'this' situation.
Took it on an empty stomache (as always). But I was 'at it' after only 10 minutes of injestion. Anyway, after 15 minutes or so into it I was thinking of giving up & then BAM! YES! Not that my libido was already low, but it has increased nonetheless.
What I've actually started doing is taking 500mg every morning whether I have sex or not. Then when I do 'plan' on having sex I take an additional 500mg-1g. Also, I'm hoping that taking it every day in the morn will eventually allow me to have sex 'spontaneously', without needing to plan it out which can feel slightly unnatural, if you know what I mean. It seems to be working too. This morning I had sex BEFORE I took my morning dose & was able to cum, and the last dose previous to that was over 24hrs before.Give it a try. I'm currently taking at least 500mg every day now. I get a 100g bulk tub. Its standardised to contain 20% icariin. Many products contain only 10% or less, or dont even standardise it.
If you wanna give it another go then why not try the stuff I use. Its very cheap & it works well for me. But then we're all different.
By the way, what meds are causing your sexual problems?

Hey guys, just my 2 cents here. I have no sexual issues, but tried HGW for energy and yes it does promote energy. As ppl said above, it actually makes you feel a bit sleepy and relaxed, but not in a bad way. You feel just more interested in stuff so I guess in that way its a stimulant, but its actually very very relaxing. Studies show it is an effective antidepressant and anxiolytic by decreasing stress hormone levels and it also acts to mimic testosterone. It definitely does have that side effect of making you more horny, but I think any drug or herb that affects dopamine tends to make you more sexually interested.
Anyway, this HGW is GOOD STUFF. I think the whole sexual enhancement issue has covered up its value as a mood booster a bit, since it seems to be very effective for mood.

You'd be better going down the med route for SSRI sexual problems. There are plenty of addon meds to take safely with SSRIs:
Bupropion
Dexedrine
Yohimbine
Mirtazapine
etc,etc...

I picked up some "Super Goat Weed" from Walgreens:

A dose of two caps is 500mg HGW (10% Icarin) and 300mg "MacaPure" (0.6% macamides and macaenes).
They had a 2 for 1 sale, so the price was ok, although I'll definitely be ordering bulk powders from 1fast400, as this is considerably less potent.
Taking that dose with Nardil produced a slight elevation of BP, maybe 5-10 points on both systolic and diastolic. Not a big deal, but for those on MAOIs, they should use it with caution and not go crazy.
I didn't notice any libido increase, or any horniness, or any unnatural attraction to goats. Well, at least no more than normal...
I did notice a boost in mood and motivation, and perhaps some physical stimulation. I concur with you, it's hard to describe. It's like a stimulant, yet, it isn't. It did give me a slight mental ... something. It wasn't strong enough to call intoxication, but I don't think I'd want to take it and do anything critical, like brain surgery or landing a fighter on a carrier. I was bit more distractable, but the 'buzz' isn't otherwise unpleasant.
I don't normally have many sexual side-effects from Nardil, it's just so sedating that I can't stay awake for it. :) I will say that this Super Goat Weed produces extreme firmness. It's actually pretty dramatic.
I don't know whether all of this is the HGW, the Maca, or the combination. I guess I'd have to take 8 capsules to get the same HGW Icarin dose as your 1G of 1fast400 powder. I'll definitely be experimenting with it in the future.
Do you have any experience with Maca? I can't quite decipher what it's supposed to do.
