Spent today reading "Natural Cures "They" Don't Want You To Know About" and there's a lot of cleansing recommended-- cleanse your colon, liver, lymph glands, etc., etc.
Have any of you tried this?

Hi CT
I've had colonics (see above discussion with Larry). Not just the irrigation thing. The details are so wonderful. Having done 1 series I get a cut rate on the next (not taken up yet). I think the aloe vera and bentonite and chlorophyll was helpful. One of the batches of aloe vera was stronger in the bitter stuff than the others.....anyway, when I was taking that stuff I went (as they say we should) after every meal, and felt so much lighter. Never had lymphatics (what are they? herbs? lymphatic drainage?).

I have found herbal suppliments, an herbal bath recipe, manual draining massage, and a cleansing 3 day diet, all listed to cleanse the lymph nodes.

And I almost forgot: using a rebounder (mini trampoline). I found info that states this is the only exercise which is considered cellular exercise, stimulating every cell in your body. Whoda thunk?

Hiya!

Very dubious!!!!! I'm sure its good if you regard it as plain old exercise (and I'm sure its very good for you in that regard), but as for 'stimulating every cell in the body'.....hmmm.....hmmmm.....I'm no biology major (but I was a science teacher!), but I doubt there is a thing as 'cellular exercise' -- that would be called being alive??? Respiring?? Who knows. But I'm sure its a good form of exercise - a former flatmate had one and certainly got the heart pumping!!
Kind regards
Meri

Cellular Exercise Physiology
The course examines Bioenergetics and Muscular Physiology as it impacts training and detraining. Topics include the energy systems and their functional application during exercise, muscle structure and function, cellular and sub-cellular modifications of organelles and contractile mechanisms as a result of training and physiological bases of training techniques.

I *think* that's what they're called. You lie on your back and place your feet in the hollows of this thing that waggles them gently back and forth. This creates a sympathetic wave along the spine. It is very nice, though I don't know much at all about lymph.

Goodmorning CT
Well, maybe. I did feel better for it, and didn't enjoy the indignity of it *per se*. Normally I feel fairly full in my gut, and for a couple of weeks I felt like those people you see outside health food shops. I have repeated the chlorophyll, aloe and psyllium thing. The naturopath and my doc had different views of the bentonite....with the naturopath saying you shouldn't have the bentonite unless you got the flush as well, my doc not seeing the point of that.

Walking on pebbles barefoot is soothing and may have its benefits. I'm too lazy to look up any studies - was it called "cobblestone therapy"? - but there are claims it lowers blood pressure.
Years ago I bought some Austrailian sandals with bumps on the foot-side that may do the same thing. This sort of foot *massage* takes some getting used to though.

I looked up a picture of the Chi Machine. LOL! I have one of those but it was called something else! Saw it on some home shopping channel then bought it for next to nothing on eBay. Guess I should dig it out of the closet...

You have used it?
I had a go of one once at an alternative health fair thing and found it really relaxing, and nice for my back.

Apparently, he doesn't reveal the secrets in his book. No, you have to subscribe to his website, to gain "access" to the information. Not one cure in the whole book, is what one person said.

Whoda believed?
I'm sorry, but there is nothing special about a rebounder, other than it's more fun than bouncing on pavement, while jogging.
