Hello Kook
I don't know about combining SSRIs and tyrosine. I have tried Lexapro and Paxil and tryrosine but all separately. I hated the SSRIs but I like Tryrosine.
I use about 2g a day. For me it reduces panic and improves energy and motivation. I have found you need to go off it after a few weeks because it loses its effect. I'm not sure how long is ideal for going on and off it. I suppose you have to experiment. I'm not sure if it works for everyone. Maybe you need to have a noradrenaline or dopamine deficiency to notice an effect?

There are no reasons I can think of *not* to try the combination. Take the tyrosine in the a.m., empty stomach, twenty minutes before any other food that contains protein. Best to start at a low dose (e.g. 500 mg) and increase as tolerated, or according to response. Periodic breaks from the supplement may keep it more effective (reduces adaptation/tolerance).
