I miss Cymbalta. The most effective AD in my opinion. Sadly, almost destroyed my love life.

What about combining Cymbalta or Pristiq with Wellbutrin? Some people even find Buspar helpful to recover libido.

It is tricky to try to predict the behavior of a drug in real life based upon what is observed in the laboratory or the theories offered by researchers. Often, a new property will be discovered for an old drug that which comes to explain inconsistencies in previous theories. Nortriptyline, a drug that was categorized primarily as a norepinephrine reuptake inhibitor was found to be soporific and anxiolytic in some people. As technology and understanding grew, it was found that nortriptyline was also a potent serotonin 5-HT2a antagonist.

Even if we were able to offer a guess about Cymbalta based upon a simple model, it is important to note that Cymbalta is at least 10 times stronger as a reuptake inhibitor of serotonin than of norepinephrine.

No back or body pain when took 60mg when living at beach. Was only when got a computer that I scared myself off it. And I did not ever have an withdrawal problems in the past with any med. Back when 24 given mepbrobamate 450 mg with 15mg of valium and one day dropped the mepbrobamate and never missed it. Phillipa

I take 90 mg /day and find that it does not jazz me up. Overall effective, especially when combined with some coffee.

I tried combining Cymbalta with bupropion and it was marginally beneficial for mood, libido and dysfunction. Definitely a plus. I may try it again someday. Tried Pristiq alone after stopping Cymbalta and it was the same or worse for sexual side effects with little benefit for anxiety.

What about Viibryd (vilazodone)?

Viibryd acts as a serotonin reuptake inhibitor and 5-HT1A receptor partial agonist. It is known for not producing a reduction in sex-drive. When I took it, I experienced no sexual side effects at all.
