Hi everyone, I hope you are well; it's been a long time!
Just got a quick question....what do you all think about taking Nortrip 100mg/d with Lexapro 20mg/d? Too much serotonin? Or would it be safe wrt serotonin syndrome?

Oh, and while we're at it, I know both meds can cause QT prolongation, so is it a combo that should be avoided for that reason as well?

> KatLexapro does to some extent inhibit CYP2D6 (as most of the SSRIs do) which could raise nortriptyline levels, so a lower dose of nortrip would perhaps be required. Nortriptyline is a weak SRI and I have seen combined with alot of serotonergic meds including MAOIs. Since there's a study about using citalopram and nortriptyline together I would presume it's safe:

Hi Kat!
An old pdoc had me on Lexapro 20mg with Nortriptyline 10mg. He was big on that combo. I personally don't do well on Nortriptyline, but I've seem others on similar regimens with success.
I used to take Amitriptyline at night with Lexapro, and for a while, it worked pretty well.
