Hi
Hope everyone is (relatively) well. Was wondering if anyone had any experience/thoughts on what may (or may not) have happened to me today as a result of my dental work.
I had some crowns put on and my teeth were numbed, yet ever since I have been feeling really depressed and emotional.
I was wondering if any could shed any light on whether this is most likely to be (a) coincidence (b) from chemicals - i.e. a numbing agent used at the dentist or (c) stress related from the 'trauma' of it all. Or perhaps a bit of everything?
Had been feeling relatively well until today!

I'd think stress. Interesting question. Try ibuphrophen as may have some inflammation from the dental work. Phillipa

After recent dental work I had a flare up of my schizo-affective disorder; started hearing voices. I think Phillipa is right. It's stress. Hope you feel better soon.

Hi Phillipa
Thanks for your (and vbs') reply, I am relatively fine now. Was a bizarre day, I can't discredit the chemical or inflammation theory as I generally do okay when stressed.
But all is good and hopefully I won't have to go back there (severe depression OR to the dentist) for a while!

Just out of curiosity, were you prescribed a short term regimen of vicodin for pain?

No it was only some caps on my teeth really, so no major pain.
