depression after dental work??

Hi
Hope everyone is (relatively) well. Was wondering if anyone had any experience/thoughts on what may (or may not) have happened to me today as a result of my dental work.
I had some crowns put on and my teeth were numbed, yet ever since I have been feeling really depressed and emotional.
I was wondering if any could shed any light on whether this is most likely to be (a) coincidence (b) from chemicals - i.e. a numbing agent used at the dentist or (c) stress related from the 'trauma' of it all. Or perhaps a bit of everything?
Had been feeling relatively well until today!
