Wellbutrin brain creepy stuff

Posted by fayeroe on August 15, 2008, at 18:49:56

Head is way too speedy for my taste. If I had my way, nothing would make me feel speeded up. I can make enough trouble for myself without some chemical screwing me up.

I can almost hear the little things that are whirling around in there. Know what I mean? Ears are almost ringing.

Diarrhea has stopped...I lost 5 lbs with that. A breeze will take me away now.

Why can't we all be well and normal...whatever normal means.

Yeah, I remember that feeling. It's like your brain gets ahold of something and runs around with it like a little mouse in a maze. I was incredibly *interested* in *everything* when I first started it. I thought every movie was amazing (and recommended a lot of bad ones to friends.)

I kind of liked the pumped up feeling, but I can see how it might be difficult if it gets out of hand. It faded after a couple of weeks. Too bad; I thought I'd found legal cocaine.

Thanks for letting me know that it goes away. I'm sorta hyper anyway and it bugs me to add to that chemically.

I also have a tight feeling around the top of my skull..Did you experience that?

Thanks, Pat

Hi Fayeroe,
I had very very busy thoughts for the first 15 days on Wellbutrin, and again when I increased my dose (not as bad as the first time).

I found that klonopin about 2mg/day in split doses helped me get through that transition.

I had headaches for 4-6 weeks and my ears were ringing, occasionally.

I had a tight feeling around the top of my head at times, but that didn't bother me.

What bothered me was losing large clumps of hair everyday. I used to have a lot of hair until I went on Wellbutrin. Thankfully my hair has stopped falling out and is slowly starting to fill out again after I stopped taking Wellbutrin. I ended up losing almost half of my hair. Hopefully you won't experience this side effect.

I was put in the hospital after one week of l50 of wellbutrin as the pdoc thought I was manic and took me right off it. Kept falling too. Phillipa

I'm a tough ole bird and I don't give up on a med until we think it is definitely not worth the work.

I tried writing a letter last night and couldn't do it.

Ll, I wondered about a half of a xanax yesterday late afternoon. I thought I was going to lose it and run out into the road and scream! If I get that bad today, I'll take one.

The head is nuts. As soon as I got out of bed this morning, I could feel thw fringe crap starting up.

Thanks for hanging with me on this. I need reassurance that this will pass. xoxo pat

SSL, I remember taking something that caused my hair to fall out. I took Wellbutrin years ago but not with lamictal..hmmmmmm

I am really sorry that you had to go through the hair loss. I guess I better get a "gimme" cap out and clean it up...:-)

thanks, pat

I didn't have it in my skull, but my leg and arm muscles were all tensed up constantly. I couldn't relax them; it was weird. That went away too, as far as I can remember.

Most of the really difficult side effects went away after a couple of weeks, but I never did get an appetite back, and the insomnia stuck around as well.

I didn't anticipate that I would get so much caring support when I posted about W and I appreciate it more than I can tell you friends.

I've been thinking (I OVER think everything..pitfall of living alone) and another issue that is affected by the side effects is the amount of pain that I live with.

Not only do I have the breast/neck/shoulder/back pain, (which keeps me stressed to the max) I have now developed arthritis in my knees and the broken ankle.

I wouldn't change a thing in my life and I know where those pains are coming from. Years and years in rodeo arenas, squatting down causes the knee problems..the ankle hasn't hurt until this year and I broke it in 1997. Carrying a very heavy camera also has added to the neck pain.

eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee.

I was so sick last week at the prison that I actually told an offender that I might faint and he kept a close watch on me. THEN I had a really intense situation in class and I was forced into writing a case for a young man that could have been prevented if he had given me the contraband that he had.....I met with him this Thursday and we worked it out. We got caught between two really nasty guards who threatened me with "we'll call a sergant if you don't write the case". I knew if a sergeant came that the young offender would prossibly be hauled off to solitary.

Stress? OMG, I've had it. I work again this Tuesday and am telling the offendrs from the get-go most of my situation and that will help keep things low key.

Sounds like I need my guardian angels more than I had anticipated anyway.

Thanks so very much. Pat
