Hydergine is very cheap and lacks of serious side effects and drug interactions.
I read that it is used as nootropic, but i also read that it is mainly targeted for senile dementia, where blood circulation of the brain is poor.
It is also used as an anti-aging agent.So, are there other conditions where Hydergine is considered effective?

In a packet insert I bought somewhere it was asserted that Hydergine made elderly people less stubborn and helped with self care in the elderly.
That was nice and specific.

>Yes, that's correct, its official RX is called "ergoloid mesylates" intended for certain types of memory decline past 60 due to strokes or other unknown causes. But remember its an ergot derived agent, so those prone to psychosis may react unpredictably.
Other than that I have no idea.

I guess it would have to be tried on an individual basis to see what good it does. PHd Andrew Cutler, author of Amalgam Illness, used Hydergine himselef when detoxing mercury chelation. During chelation rounds, he took Hydergine to eliminate "brain fog" and recommends it for that purpose. He also said at higher doses (10mg-20mg) it elevated mood.
There are all kinds of internet claims about what it does, and there are some decent studies at pubmed. The only actual person I am aware of with realworld experience is Andy Cutler.

I took some again this morning. 4.5mg under the tongue.
It has an effect that is a little stimulating and calming together, plus a little sinus congestion for a bit.
Perhaps it could aggravate insomnia?
If it wasn't for that I would take much much more of it.
In the past I have taken 9-13.5mg/d sublingual for extended periods.

Hi Sig,Why sublingual ? is your Hydergine an SL formulation ? I took my first pill (about 1mg just to feel how I react) 30 minutes ago and I'll report about my experience tomorow.

It's a bit confusing.
The tablets I have are just normal tablets, and it is absorbed better subligually.
I have had the FAS tablets (whatever that means) and they were quite good (4.5mg also), but they were designed to be released in the intestine and the ones I have are not.
