Ive been on 60 mgs of cymbalta for almost 4 weeks and i was feeling pretty good until this pass saturday and i feel like the anxiety is coming back is this normal and has anyone ever been on a higer dose then 60 mgs. I go to my p-doc this thursday so i hope he will do something to make me feel better. HELP SUEBIRDS

Its pretty normal to have symptoms show back up, drugs arent a cure.

I was on 60mg of cymbalta but also valium 20mg. No nothing for depression but no back pain which I have now. Suebirds weren't you on zyprexa at one time maybe you need a small dose? Phillipa

phillipa yes i was on zyprexa at one time but it gave me treamors really bad and my blood sugars went up while on it as well so i will never go back on it again, Its so hard to find the right cocktail to make u feel better i go see my p-doc tomarrow so im going to vent to him and ley him know how im feeling.Suebird

I took Cymbalta 60 mg for 4 months. I was given it for 2 reasons. chronic nerve pain and depression with lethargy and anxiety. I did ok on it and my energy level went way up but the daily anxiety level I felt wasn't helped as much as my dr hoped so I was changed to Wellbutrin. I have always had Xanax with me for anxiety and have taken it even when I was not on antidepressants but on the Wellbutrin I find myself taking less and less Xanax for the breakthrough anxiety and I feel like I am finally getting my life back on track. My energy level is up, anxiety down and no sexual problems that many have from other med. The only side effect i have to deal with daily is the insomnia. But after the way my life was b/f Wellbutrin and Cymbalta, I will gladly deal with the insomnia to have ME back.
