And is there any difference between them. Or much difference. Just the generic versions, not he brand (celexa).

I've taken loads of different Celexa generics. They were all fine. Don't worry about it.

Celexa is the brand name. Lexapro is a spin off of celexa. Celexa is available in genaric forms, atleast 2 that I know of. Wondering if there is more versions?

There look to be dozens of generics. Go here: http://www.accessdata.fda.gov/scripts/cder/drugsatfda/index.cfm

Search on citalopram.

Select the second search result.

I'm not sure exactly what you're referring to, but there are a number of tentative ANDAs on file. Tentative approvals generally depend on the courts resolving if a patent is valid or not. In the case of olanzapine, the original patent expired in 1995, before the drug was approved as an antipsychotic. Lilly had obtained a new patent, though, and the issue was taken to court by a hopeful generic manufacturer. Lilly won, as their new patent was for the previously unknown antipsychotic activity, which had the property been appreciated by them (or others), it would have been marketed by them. Thus, the antipsychotic activity was upheld as a novel and patentable character of the drug, despite the expiry of the original patent. Lilly's newer patent does not expire until April 2011.

Larry,

I often wondered how you have been since you said you were having some difficulties when you were unable to answer some of my questions over at psyche central. I hope all is well and you are feeling better. Sorry, didn't mean to hyjack thread.

Sooner, in Canada and Germany. Maybe. Lilly lost the Zyprexa cases there, but they plan to appeal both of those.

Here's a quick summary of the original patent infringement lawsuit (U.S.), won by Lilly in Indiana Federal Court. http://news.findlaw.com/andrews/pl/pha/20050426/20050426lilly.html

That ruling was appealed, and upheld. Here's a link to the judicial summary of what is a ruling that is over 200 pages......it's brain-twisting stuff.... http://www.fedcir.gov/opinions/05-1396.pdf

I don't mind the hijack. But it wasn't my thread.

I'm still not doing well. I was very ill, and I'm just having a devil of a time getting any kind of resiliency back. I'm barely functioning. I feel like my brain aged three decades overnight. I'm posting out of stubborn uhhh stubborn something or other.

One of my greatest difficulties is with memory. I don't recall any such situation over a PC. I'm sorry, I just don't recall. PM me, or babblemail me?
