Posted by indepth horizen on January 28, 2007, at 21:53:29

Does it make it worse? blunts your emotions? i have noticed this with Prozac

My posts arent very long.

I cant think or am not in the "mood" to talk.

I think something is wrong with me.

I tend to post like this.

There could well be something socially wrong with both of us.

I don't know what to call it either.

Executive dysfunction? Aspergers?

Certainly not hypomania.

Definitely something wrong with me but what? They say MDD and anxiety. But I am afraid to stay home, be alone, or go out alone. Love Phillipa ps I can' sit still either but don't want to do a thing but do.

are you on prozac now?
it sounds like whatever you are on is flattening your emotions
you need to talk to a doctor who wil help you find a med that will get you out and about

suicidal thoughts from AD are usually caused by damage to or blockage of the cholinergic system, inducing akathisia. the cholinergic system is responsible for learning and thought. so if you feel really anxious, can't think, can't sit still, can't concentrate, and feel suicidal, then chances are it is from the AD. prozac notoriously induces akathisia. you can try another AD to see if it helps.

ssri's eventually reduce dopamine levels which are a necessary component of being social and feeling pleasure. I guess that is where maois might be more effective because they keep all the neurotransmitters elevated and therefore one does not become depleted. They really need statagies to augment ssris so dopamine does not become depleted.
