PM80, question for you please

Posted by chess on May 27, 2005, at 8:34:21

hi PM80

i'm just wondering if you're still taking Seroquel and if it's working for your anxiety without any side-effects?

how long did it take for seroquel to start working for your anxiety? days or weeks?

i'm still afraid to take seroquel after reading about the possible side-effects it can cause like tardive dyskenesia

also, did you ever try buspar for your anxiety? my doc is offering me either buspar or seroquel

i posted another message about whether Lexapro can cause someone to feel anxious after being on it for 12 weeks, or if that is a side-effect only at the beginning of taking it?

thanks!

I can respond to part of your post. Lexapro's initial anxiety would probably do gown after a few weeks.

Buspar has less side effects and works for some people's anxiety. I believe that Seroquel's side effects are dose related and that a low dose shouldn't be too bad.

You might want to try a low dose (maybe 5 or 10 mg) of Lexapro along with the seroquel in order to be able to use a lower dose of seroquel.

What is considered a low dose of seroquel? I still don't understand the dried up reaction I had when I stopped taking it. You would think it would have happened when I was on it. I only took it a few days in the hospital. It was awful. Fondly, Phillipa
