anyone take a 1mg tab dose of Klonopin in the morning and not have it persistently causing sedation or ataxia?

I have always had to split my dosing no matter what the goal for my 24 hour dose. Sedation was the reason, even after the initial REAL sedation waned at about 2 weeks after startup. I simply could not take a big hit at one time and not experience sedation I did not care for. Splitting the dosings was the answer for me. I've been montherapy for 3 years.

I have to do the same as the prev. poster...I have an rx for 3mg a day. But, I take only half in the morning and half in the afternoon and 1 for sleep at night.

Hi, I take 2mg of Klonopin in the morning and 2mg at night and it works wonders for my anxiety.

No, I have been on Klonopin for over five years so you kind of build up a tolerance.

how long did it take before the sedation and ataxia (unsteadiness) side-effects wore off?
i've been taking 1mg Klonopin in the AM for 1 week now and it's working but it's still sedating me and making me unsteady and i'm wondering how much time i should give for the sedation and unsteadiness to wear off before i lower the dose?> No, I have been on Klonopin for over five years so you kind of build up a tolerance.

Four milligrams twice daily doesn't sedate me (after the first few doses anyway) - yet it controls anxiety like nothing else.
